Our puppy loves this! We wanted something to leave in the crate with her for a distraction, but since she had already started to chew on her bed, we did not want to put a toy such as a Kong that might get peanut butter onto the bed and encourage her to chew it more. This has worked perfectly! It screws securely through the bars of the crate, and does not get on the bed. It also works well in the freezer to make it last a little longer! It came with a brush and a small spatula too, that make cleaning and reapplying a breeze. She likes to chew things, and has not been able to chew any part of this when it is secured to the crate. She simply licks at it until everything is gone. We're all very satisfied!

I have a dog who is really averse to her crate and the lick mat is helping. I can put peanut butter, wet dog food, etc… on it, stick it in a ziplock bag and either refrigerate or freeze it before I put it in the the crate and she will work on it for 20-30 minutes and it will look like it just came out of the dishwasher, before I put it in the dishwasher. I like that it secures to the crate or can be laid on the floor. I like enough that I think that I’ll get another one so that I always have one loaded and ready to go. I have used the soft silicone mats that suction onto the side of a smooth surface and while they work well when trying to bathe a dog, I wouldn’t leave it in a crate because her little French Bulldog jaws could easily shred on of those and she literally hasn’t made as much as dent in this “lick mat,” yet it is soft and smooth enough that I don’t have to worry that she will hurt herself when using it.

My dog is very anxious about going in his crate. We ordered this lick mat because we noticed he was licking his paws out of nervousness while in his crate. The lick plate is easy to put on the side of his crate. I spread peanut butter from the fridge on it. I still have to help him in his crate but while we are gone he licks all the peanut butter off and leaves his paws alone. The only issue is he was able to get a couple of the nubs of the lick plate off. We use this every time he is on his crate as his special treat.

I used this after my dog got neutered. I put peanut butter and yogurt on it and froze it. It kept him busy and engaged for a while. Very sturdy attachment to kennel! It did not move even after he was aggressively trying to get the lil bits and pieces of the leftover food off!

My days really enjoy this lick pad. We have a nut allergy on the house, do smear with cream cheese. The dogs love it. Keeps them occupied for several minutes. We use to distract them while brushing. Also helps keep our Aussie pup occupied when he's getting mischievous.

My dog loves peanut butter so this was a great find. It is simple to install on her wire crate and occupies her for 30-45 min while she licks the peanut butter off. When she sees me get this out, my dog immediately runs to her kennel and excitedly awaits for the product to be placed on the side of the kennel. It has certainly been a positive reinforcement for my pup getting in the kennel!

We hardly leave dog alone and he is somewhat hesitant of crate. The lick mat helped him to concentrate on the treat in crate and lowered his anxiety of crate. He goes happily inside now when he sees us preparing the mat. We often stick bits of cheese or hot dog on it as that is his favorite although peanut butter would probably last longer. Want to try canned dog food but haven’t done so yet. Mat attached easily to side of crate.(Knob is just over an inch in diameter). Comes with a little brush for cleaning although I usually just use my dish scrubber. Glad we ordered this for dog.
