I brought this charger originally to replace my overheating Tesla mobile charger. This charger, on a 220v, can provide up to 32A of current. You have the option to adjust the current from 8, 10, 12, 16, 20, 24, 28, and 32. If it is on a 110v, max current is ~15-16A. This is likely more current than many other portfolio EV charger out there. If you are not in hurry to get a new EV charger, you can even wait for this to go on sale which, at the price of 100, is certainly a steal.

The media could not be loaded. Pros: -reasonable price with added features (ie wifi, connectivity) -solid fit when charging -nicely packaged -accurate "juice" -ability to adjust power Cons: -smart functionality lacks (ie cannot actually see charge information) -holster for charger is bad - won't release New to electric vehicles, I needed a home charger and wanted something with speed. I settled on this and found the price point to be reasonable considering the added features (Wi-Fi monitoring, adjustable schedules, etc). First impression, excellent packaging. It comes in a nice bag and the quality seems great overall, having a bit of weight to everything. I'm glad I tried the parts before installing on wall because I realized that the holster for the actual connector has something very wrong. It won't actually release! I cannot imagine what would have happened if I plugged it in while on the wall because I needed a flathead screwdriver to fully lift up the patch. I might try filing down the plastic at some point but as it stands, it cannot be used. I don't have any issues with it connecting or releasing from my vehicle which is the important thing. The device functions as intended otherwise. The small screen provides a lot of useful information, and even more available when connected to Smart Life app. I was disappointed at the limited options, for example you cannot set things like "peak and off peak" hours. But you can schedule limited times for each charge. Charging itself is great, I actually set myself to the lowest amount most of the time (16a) but you can choose any amount up to the max. Even weird numbers like 18. It does a nice job regulating, and you can monitor the status in the app. I don't understand the battery icon on the app, it does not actually show you how full your battery is and this seems like a misleading item. I do appreciate how it can track your usage history, allowing you to calculate how much you've charged/spent at home. Overall, I definitely recommend. Just be advised to test the holster before drilling it into your wall! You want to make sure it is functioning so you can get it off if needed.

the other day I was shopping for a new EV Charger for my car needed it in a hurry Called over 12 companies to discuss the warranty and the ease of using this item 8 of the companies did not answer there phone 6 of that 8 had there numbers disconnected 2 of the 8 got through to people i could not even understood and they did not understand me so they hung up So I got in touch with a Tera representative and he discussed the items they offered here on Amazon received my charger the next day used it today I had some questions how to use the charger called Tera back a very nice lady answered the phone helped me downloading the proper app and got me going to use my charger IF I COULD I WOULD GIVE THEM 10 STARS GREAT COMPANY GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE AND GREAT PRODUCT

This EV Charger package by Tera, is a high value, all inclusive, solid option for any EV owner. Here are some of the things I’ve learned while owning it and things to consider before buying. I. Quality – This package looks and feels like a well-made choice that appears to be made out of good quality materials. I’d put the overall quality in the upper-middle level of the quality scale, but will say that it’s surprisingly high providing a very good value currently. II. Performance – It’s been a great performer that’s easy to use, with a decently high abilities of 32 Amps max. Some are offering as high as 50A, but it’s rarely needed and comes with a high cost typically. The cables are thick, well-made and 25 feet, which is on the longer end of what’s available. It comes with a basic, but highly needed double wall mount for the charging end and main unit. The included bag is much nicer than most included bags and appreciated if you need to take it with you. Overall, this is a wonderful package, with higher quality and great performing. I’ll be sure to update this review, if I ever start to have problems with it. You can trust that this review is simply my honest opinion that is attempting to provide you with helpful insight that I wish I had before I picked this product. Hopefully it was helpful in your decision.

Great Level 2 wall/portable charger to keep at home, this brand works slightly better than the Tesla portable charger with the NEMA 14-50 connection cable- you will get at least 3 to 5 more miles an hour to the charge, a small plus but every little bit adds up with EV’s! Tesla owners will need to purchase the J1772 to Tesla adapter separately, does Not come with this charger.

When the charger arrived one can not change the current. Furthermore the instructions are limited and not well written. Here is the procedure that I used to update the software. 1. Download the Smart Life app 2. Connect the charger to 120 v power with the include adapter 3. Long press the A button to switch the device to app mode 4. Connect the Smart Life app to Wifi by providing the Wifi key 5. In the app select Add a Device. The app should search for device on the same network. 6. If the device is found it shows up in the Smart Life app. 6. In the app select the device (charger) and the app offers sw update. Select yes to install. After the sw update finished the current was adjustable.
