  • Great NVMe drive for your gaming pc/laptop
I know Teamgroup is a newer company and has came a long way. Both their system memory and storage solutions are great. This drive does 3700/2700 in my ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 (2021). Word of warning it does not come with a screw however my computer had them in there. This is worth the money if you are looking for upgrading. Final Fantasy XV a notoriously long loading game loads in 1/2 the time it did on my gaming PC. Final Fantasy VII PC also loads pretty quick. I highly recommend this HDD for gaming. If I had ePCI 4.0 it would take advantage of the full speed, and I would get a 2TB if you plan to have a lot of modern games. Mortal Kombat 11 loads pretty quick I compared installing it on both drives as an experiment and this SSD loads it in 1/3 the time it does on my primary SSD. Cons: Does not come with a screw and difficult to get out of the plastic holder in the box. Pros: Snappy. Easy to install. High speed data transfer. TBW is 1,100 TB (or 1.1PB) IOPS Easy to initialize and fast to format took me longer to navigate to computer management than it did to initialize and format. (10 seconds total time) Final Notes: I only had this for a week and I am very impressed. I will get another drive soon as my system holds 3 drive. I will likely get a 2TB one. Get this drive and you will not be disappointed. Also this drive will likely be the cheapest solution for expanding your PS5 storage. It will not be the fastest drive but for the money it is a great upgrade option. ... show more

  • Hit's above it's class, great performance, competitively priced and a great warranty!
Bought my first one of these 9 months ago and was so thoroughly impressed I've since bought 4 more. Ran a test on the oldest one today it's earned a spot in my home server where I'll be buying at least 4 more for a ZFS parity pool. They seem to run cool enough to not need a heatsink, my motherboard has 1 m.2 slot with a heat sink and 1 without, running this test on either of them shows scores within a expected margin of error depending on tasks running. This test was run while having 2 browsers open on 2 monitors with 4 and 6 tabs open and even watching a twitch live stream. • Great speed to size to cost ratio
Super great price on a 4th gen NVME. I missed out on the super deals for the 2 and 4TB versions on Prime day. I have been running this in my primary machine for 3 months with zero issues. I did not do a clean install, I used clone software and re partitioned to upgrade from my 500m Samsung drive. I use this as my primary OS drive, and my older slower Samsung is in slot 2 for my steam library. I will keep a look out and be getting a 4TB one when the price drops a little more and move this drive to my server. ... show more

  • Works excellent at gen 3 speeds
I am extremely happy with my new M.2 SSD. Game load times are much snappier compared to my older SATA SSD's. I picked this drive in particular because it has nearly twice the write endurance of comparable 1 terabyte drives. Thermals with the included graphene/coper strip are roughly 60 degrees Celsius max under gaming loads running at PCIE gen 3. This works just fine for me and I haven't seen any indication of thermal throttling or the drive exceeding it's 70 degree thermal limit. I imagine a heatsink may be needed if running at full PCIE gen 4 speeds or with poor airflow but I can't say first hand as my motherboard doesn't support gen 4. ... show more

  • Incredibly fast
Better than most M.2 drives with regards to speed. Not much else to say.

  • The De-Facto cheap internal drive to buy. (Even for PCIe3, as pictured)
The CrystalDiskMark screenshot attached is of the drive while its being used as the main drive in my PC over PCIe3, so it's not even running at it's full capacity. But why get a PCIe4 drive for a PCIe3 PC? As of mid-November 2022, the price of PCIe4 drives have fallen, while SATA and PCIe3 drives have stayed largely the same (probably because they're not making many more). Because of this, when I set off to get some cheap storage for a computer I built out of spare parts, I realized that I'd be paying more for a decent, but inferior SATA or PCIe3 drive than a decent PCIe4. Seriously, it was cheaper to pick up an M.2 to PCIe 3 adapter + a PCIe 4 drive that couldn't even use it's full bandwidth than buy a nice 2.5 inch SSD. So off I went searching for the best price to performance I could get out of a cheap M.2 SSD. And here I found it. There ARE slightly cheaper PCIe 4 and PCIe 3 drives I could get, but the price difference I was seeing wasn't worth the lower longevity of the cheaper drives. So what if this drive can't reach it's full speed over PCIe3x4? For around 10 more dollars than pretty much every other lower end 1TB drive I've found, this drive will last at least 3 times longer before wearing out. So there you go. If you need a cheap 1TB that isn't top of the line, stop here. If this computer ever spontaneously combusts, I'll be left with a 5000/4400 drive that probably has many years left in it. That's gotta count for something. ... show more

  • Died in only 6 months
Worked great, when it worked. Started getting random reboots while I was away (using this for a plex server OS) and could never figure out why. Suddenly started happening many times per week, then many times per day, until finally many times per hour, then it died completely and I lost everything. Do yourself a favor and learn from my mistake, buy a Samsung evo the first time and you won't be like me and starting over in 6 months with the proper equipment. ... show more
