Have ordered generic replacement canopies quite a few times, but have not had this problem before, As others have said, the bar has torn out the seam on one side as the space to fit it was a fraction of an inch too small. It is now pretty much ruined (see attached picrures) - unfortunate, as we only bought it a couple of months ago - otherwise nice cover. Will write to manufacturer and see if there is a solution proposed that doesn't include sewing. If, so, will update review. Update: Manufacturer responded quickly. They offered me compensation (not enough to buy a new pergola, but at least they tried). I have updated my review to 4 stars as long as you are not going to insert your pergola crossbars into the ends of the cover. ... show more

    • Great for shade, needs to come down in rain
Great find for the pergola. Figures out a way to run a few ropes across the 'roof' so it will hold it up. Works great for shade but doesn't work when it rains, you need to take it down. Water will collect on top into a huge pool, it doesn't run thru it or thru the rivets.

Needs more holes to let out water. Water is stretching it out and creating small rips. Honestly I can’t find anything better for Florida outdoor living though. It’s only good for one season here. More holes would really help it last. I dump tons of water out after every rain or it will eventually rip through from the weight. Nice color and nice fit. Like the tie handles.     • Not waterproof at all
I bought this for my canopy since it said it was waterproof. The cover is not waterproof at all, even with a medium rain fall, this does not protect your patio furniture from the rain.. my patio furniture was soaked , this cover is not waterproof at all
