The reason it's high priced is that it works so well. Surface is truly non-stick and very scratch resistant. (Use wooden spoons and plastic spatulas.) But what I really like about this one is that I can lay spaghetti in it and it will lay flat. No more poking and prodding to get the strands to fit in a small pot. This pan is the best we have ever used. The surface is super easy to clean, just a little soap and water. We will definitely buy the rest of the set. The only thing we don't like is the price, but you get what you pay for. So we'll just buy one a time

We bought this 7 months ago. Placed glass cover on at low heat. There was a huge explosion and the glass had exploded shattered all over kitchen. Unbelievable. I have other Swiss Diamond pieces and like them a lot. I agree with other reviewers -- the aluminum disk on the bottom is much thinner on this piece, but so far I haven't noticed any negative effects. It came packaged well and in good time. I'd recommend it.
