Love this umbrella. Once you get used to how it works, you'll find it's super flexible for different angles and positions. It is sturdy yet bends in the wind to avoid breaking. I mistakenly left it wide open when a strong wind storm hit. Even though the wind blew it out if the base and onto the ground, hitting the pergola on the way down, there was no damage to the arms or fabric because of the way the arms bent with the wind and fall. Fantastic product engineering. Genius design for moving up, down, spreading out, as well as securing in the base. It covers a pretty wide area when up full. I invested in several cans of Scotchgard to waterproof it - you'll need six+ 42 ounce cans to cover it well; I just did the top, not the underside. Good enough I think. It's easy to assemble, although the directions are pretty lacking; typical for these kinds of products. If you are used to assembling this kind of stuff and use common sense, you'll have it together in under 1/2 hour. You'll need two people when it comes to inserting the main pole into the base; it's heavy and needs to be guided in, so one person lifts and the other guides. The rest can be done by one person. I'm also adding a shout out to their customer service. When it arrived it was missing the base piece that holds the center pole. I was pretty miffed as I had already taken everything out of the box and did not want to send it back. I went through Amazon vendor contact, explained, sent pictures and asked that they send me the missing piece. They are in China. They sent another complete umbrella that arrived a few days later, no charge (!). Now I have a 100% backup if anything breaks, and if not, a total 2nd umbrella free. Not bad! Can't beat it for the price (plus base and Scotchgard). If you're hesitating, don't - great product. And be sure to buy the base, which you simply fill up with water for the weight, which is enough to secure it unless you leave it open in high winds like I did. Don't skimp on the base - oher umbrella bases will not work.

Great umbrella. Great customer service. There was a problem with the umbrella at first, and we messaged the seller and they sent us an entire new umbrella very quickly. This is more expensive than your typical Market style umbrella, but so worth it. The quality is great without paying crazy prices for other brands. Get the base that comes in four sections not the big base with wheels. The ones with wheels are more expensive and once they’re full of sand/water, the wheels are pointless. You really can’t move the thing. With the four corner sections style, you can pick up each section one at a time and then move the umbrella. Also get sand in a paper bag not a plastic bag. The plastic bag holds moisture so you have wet sand, and it’s very difficult to put into the base. We used both types and the dry sand pours thru a funnel nicely. It’s a two person job and it takes a little time but it’s a ton easier than the wet sand. You can’t use a funnel with the wet sand.

Allow me to start by saying that I do like this umbrella. It's nice that the industry finally realizes there are other valuable shapes for a deck umbrella other than round. Having a sizeable rectangular umbrella to cover our rectangle-shaped deck is quite nice. It appears to be made of quality materials. It should last for some time; however, only time will tell. As of now, my only criticism is that it says it is waterproof. The problem is with the seams. The main parts of the fabric do appear to be waterproof. We left it up during moderate rain that lasted about three hours. 90% stayed dry, but several parts of different seams did leak. It wasn't a tremendous amount, but enough that a few of the chair cushions did get wet. My other concern is about the color. We were pleased to find a gray color, and it states that it is fade resistant; again, only time will tell. Overall I'm pleased with the purchase. The price was reasonable; it was delivered on time, and the assembly was straightforward. I do recommend this umbrella. Again, a bit of leaking with the seams, but not enough to return it. We're pleased with it, and it enhances the deck beautifully.

I bought the turquoise. Love the color. It moves a bit in the breeze, but that’s by design. Really easy to use. Assembly was a two-person job. Once we got the hang of it, it was very easy to assemble.

It broke after two weeks! The crank no longer works, and it is not something we could repair. It took two of us several hours to set up and now we don’t have anyone to contact or a way to fix it. I’m incredibly frustrated. We bought it after reading a positive investment from consumer reports about its reliability and now it’s dead.

I wasn't sure this would be a good choice but after putting the umbrella together, I was very happy with the purchase. Assembly was easy. The umbrella is very sturdy. It was easy to pick up 4 16"x16" dark gray stepping stones at Home Depot plus two more 12x12's for added weight. They hold the unit in place firmly, even in a decent breeze. The look is perfectly fine. Operation is super smooth. The handle that adjusts tilt of the entire umbrella has a number of settings and slides easily. The crank feel solid and the built in ties seem to keep it secure. No issues at all as Hurricane Henri passed off shore NJ. We went with an aqua color. It's definitely aqua and not light blue. Sometimes determining the real color is tough online. The fabric is heavy and it looks really good. 4 years ago I paid almost $900 at Sams Club for an umbrella like this but with a built in sand filled base. It was ok... but the operation was not as good as this umbrella. Never again. I'd buy this umbrella again in a heartbeat. As long as you are ok with the paver stone base.. as far as looks go, this is a great choice.
