I have never seen or used one of these machines before, but due to having some nerve disfunction in my legs according to a nerve conduction study, I wanted to try this out of curiosity. And I must say, it works great as a tension reliever and cured my insomnia when I use it at night. It makes my legs tingle all the way up to my butt, and really gets the blood circulating, which feels wonderful. I stand on it for about ten minutes twice a day, and feel a lot of relaxation in my entire body, the more I use this. This has cured a lot of little aches and pains in my legs, hips and back, and I am walking and moving much more smoothly and easily since using it. This is heavy. I wasn't prepared for it weighing over forty pounds, which means that putting it into a place in my home is where it will be staying. I like the heaviness, however, since it creates stability while it is shaking me. The shake is small and rapid. I feel that with continued use my muscles, ligaments and joints will be greatly benefited. Not only does the blood flow rapidly and freely, the tension is relieved, the muscles are challenged, and hopefully the nerves are energized and repaired. I have this in a corner of a room so that there is no place to fall on two sides. I also have a straight backed chair in front of this to hang onto while I use it. I do the lunge on this, and can feel the muscles working in each leg as they flex and tone to keep me balanced. This was a pleasant surprise, regarding enjoyment and effectiveness. I'm not sure exactly what the long term benefits will be, but so far I am experiencing a lot of excellent benefits in terms of health and feeling good. This seems to be well made and is easy to use with the remote. I recommend this for anyone with sore muscles and joints or who wants to add a new dimension to their workout routine. ... show more

My first thought from opening this fantastic item was “they really put a lot of time into the actual quality and functionality of this item”. This product is very user friendly and most importantly, it works as advertised! Through the vibration technology, it does not only help burn my fat, but also loosen the tougher fattened area around my body for me to be able to burn it off easier! I am religiously using this machine everyday, either in the morning to help regulate and warm up my body, or at night to help sweat out all the bad toxins I have consumed during the day! ... show more

    • Great Addition To My Workouts!!!
I browsed what felt like a ton of websites that offered whole body vibration machines, and I am very happy with mine! First, I'd like to point out that this machine is exactly the same as the "butterfly" one offered out there. If you do a bit of homework, you'll find that the companies that are selling these machines are distributors, not manufacturers. The distributors are purchasing the same machines from China and giving them their own names, which is perfectly legitimate. So do yourself a favor and look for the one that is the best price and with free shipping, because this thing is 50lbs. I also purchased an extended warranty just to give myself some peace of mind. Yes, this is a very sturdy piece of equipment and no, it is not loud. I have mine in the corner of my room and have had it on the highest speed without complaint from my downstairs neighbors. My room is carpeted, so that may help. However, there are stabilizers included, but I did not need to use them. I bought this to help recover faster between workouts, and I know I made a great decision! It used to take me 2 - 3 days to recover between workouts and I did not feel like I was progressing with so much recovery time needed. Once I started using this, my workouts are longer and I can easily workout 5 - 6 days a week without all the tightness and aches that my muscles used to have. The machine has also helped with strength training and stabilizing my core (one of my favorites is by pushing me to hold a longer plank stance). If you're looking to use this thing as your only source of exercise to lose weight, you may be disappointed. Personally, I don’t think it would help me lose weight if I stopped doing cardio and yoga just to use the WBVM. Finally, the smell that some report… Upon opening the box, yes, there is a smell of plastic. It is not as bad as some of the drama queens on here have described, and I’m not surprised since this thing was built in a factory and immediately packed and shipped. The components probably didn’t get enough air time to diffuse the smell. Once yours is out of the box, and has time to air properly, the smell will go away after a couple of days.     • Good product, HORRIFIC toxic plastic smell
So far, I really like this machine's actual functions, but the smell of the machine when you take it out of the box is a horrendous plastic stench that is almost unbearable. Here's what I did to it that has helped a little. 1. Pull off that top plastic mat and throw it outside. 2. Pour some baking soda and vinegar in a bowl till you have a sludge, then wipe that sludge all over that stinky plastic - that removes about 50% of the smell. 3. Whenever I use the machine, I cover it with a trash bag on top, then a towel on top of that. That diminishes the smell also. 4. Even the power cord smells horrendous. I try to never have the machine near me when I am not directly using it, because the outgas is so bad right now. I store it outside and in outside air whenever possible I am assuming this stink problem will fade eventually, as it has faded about 50% so far in a few days, but I would really like an explanation from the manufacturer what the heck is going on, and how they suggest it be remidied? If it were not for the smell, I would give the machine 4 or 5 stars. The value for the price is very solid. The construction feels solid. Its quite invigorating, and you feel rejuvenated after using it. The fact that it is right there for you to use is a big deal in following through using it. Plus the plain fact that you feel better after every time you use it is very self reinforcing for maintaining usage of it. Good machine. Fix the smell EDIT: Smell is diminished 60-70% after a week, so I am raising the review to 4 stars ... show more
