I saw an ad for a similar product on X, so I searched Amazon. The price I found seemed reasonable, so I took a chance. Prep is key. Clean the surface well with degreaser/cleaner and dry. Heat definitely helps if it's not sticking at first. One door, it stuck fine on the first application. I went down again to pressing firmly on the adhesive side to make sure it stayed on. The second door took a bit more work. It didn't stick at first, so I tried a heat gun on the door to warm it up, then on the strip to help activate the adhesive better. That did the trick. I bought a dog door insert for sliding glass doors from a major name brand and they took every liberty cut costs including their awful weather stripping. No matter what I did, clean, dry, and heat the surface their strip would not stick. I bought this kind of expecting a similar result but figured why not. The quality is no comparison, this 3M weather strip is much more malleable and durable, thick and stretchy and I’m pretty sure the glue would stick to annything and stay it’s that’s good! I have this on all my exterior doors in my house. The tape doesn’t stick well to the painted door. I had to use other measures to make sure it stayed on. However, it does stop majority of the draft that comes through my doors.

Easy to use. We're on our second weekend of below zero wind chill temperatures, and the gap at the top of our exterior door was allowing enough air through to put out a lit match. Door is metal, so my husband used his heat gun on low to a warm the surface before applying, but it went on easy & is still in place. We immediately felt the difference! Bought this a while ago. Haven't had a chance to test it till now. It has cut down the drafts out of our outside doors. It was easy to install. Sticks to the door well. I snipped a few sections where the door hinges, etc stick out a little to make the tapes fit better.
