absolutely love this projector. For the price, the brightness is impressive and the picture quality looks great, especially in a dim or dark room. Perfect for vibing haha I travel a lot and wanted a projector that’s quick to throw on any wall and looks decent but has a small footprint. Looks fine during daytime, and better than most TVs at nighttime. The speakers are also surprisingly good and the Bluetooth speaker mode is surprisingly useful. That said if you want to have a full movie experience on the go you will probably want to pick up a separate portable battery like 150w. That way you can extend your projection time by a few hours.

I bought an XGIMI Mogo 4 Laser projector in June 2025 upon its launch. My main use case was to watch ESPN, YouTube and Rumble while working out and pointed at a ceiling for two hours a couple of nights a week while doing a passive posture exercise. For part of the year, this means watching NBC's Sunday Night Football. I found this super-colorful projector to be unable to handle live TV streaming even adequately, as audio feeds would be so choppy as to be unbearable. It was as if I had the Ferrari of portable projectors, but its engine was bogged down, making for races in which the sleek automobile just couldn't hit even the speed limit. Support told me XGIMI was working on a fix and to wait for it, but it never came. An updated one-star review followed shortly after I gave up on a fix after waiting for several months. After back-and-forth communication, another XGIMI representative, who insisted this was the first time he heard about live TV issues with Mogo 4 projectors, sent me a Vibe One projector as compensation. I credit XGIMI for taking this step, but the disappointment and financial loss I experienced with the $799 Mogo 4 Laser package, now sold, remains. This projector has been able to handle live TV, I'm happy to say. For its price, it offers excellent value. This projector is best used in a pitch-black room, but you might be able to get away with a 40- to 60-inch image with some low lights on. The image this projector delivers is nowhere near the popping, saturated yet inaccurate colors that defined the Mogo 4 Laser projector, so it's important to keep expectations in check. But, for the price, the Vibe One delivers sufficient color representation whose output likely is superior to many projectors in its class. Also, most projectors in this class feature just mono sound, but XGIMI was able to give this projector a set of stereo speakers, a highlight. Audio is sufficiently loud enough and sounds good for a portable unit, although I've not tested yet on older movies, whose volume sometimes runs lower as sound was less compressed back in the day. My biggest issue with the Vibe One projector is the handle and lack of 360-degree rotation for the projector. With LCD projectors such as this one, the image fans out from the lens, with half up top and half down below. This means that, unlike DLP projectors, for example, the position of the projector when used on a table directly behind a bed or even on a floor matters a lot. Because this is an LCD projector and because of the limitation with the degree of rotation, the runway needed to project the image directly above your eyes is rather large. Given my space constraints, I couldn't make this projector work for my nighttime ceiling use. Had XGIMI prioritized usability over the actual projector as opposed to the handle—used very minimally, by the way, compared with the amount of time the projector beams an image—I think I would have given this projector five stars. The choice is a curious one because the Mogo 3 had limited rotation ability, and the Mogo 4 allowed for 360-degree rotation, the best choice. Some might be cool with compromising by putting their heads where their feet normally are, but I don't want my ears to be 3 inches from my soundbar. The handle is the least-important part of this machine, but its design limits projector functionality significantly. All in all, the Vibe One projector offers a lot of value. But if you intend to use it perched behind a bed and expect to see the image where your pillow is, you should consider alternatives, as this image will be a few feet down from where you would want it.

We play our switch on it, we use it for everything. It’s completely replaced the TV in our bedroom. Little to no lag, the brightness is great I can open my blinds and still watch a show, it has HDMI connection, and the speakers are good and don’t bleed into the other room!

The media could not be loaded. This is easily the best battery powered projector I’ve owned. Setup is fast and painless, and the performance is impressively responsive. Google TV runs smoothly and supports all major streaming apps, with licensed Netflix being a big plus. Picture quality is very clear, and the autofocus and auto keystone work reliably. It also supports Bluetooth, which paired perfectly with my Sonos sound system for much better audio. Battery life handled about an hour of viewing, and it worked great with an external battery for extended use. Overall, the software feels stable and well maintained, making this a solid choice for both home and outdoor movies.

It’s a complete nightmare. A stupid device that takes half an hour just to install. You have to type dozens of passwords. Google TV, OpenTV, Google account, then ESPN, HBO, and a bunch of other garbage. You have to create accounts. Receive emails. Validate links. Accept terms and conditions everywhere. Over and over again. Passwords on passwords on passwords. Nothing is simple. Nothing just works. It’s overengineered, intrusive, and exhausting. Atthe end, you don’t even know who has access to what anymore. Your data, your habits, your usage, everything is scattered across platforms. Do not buy this. It’s a total piece of crap.

We don’t want to have a TV as the center of our living room and that’s why we chose this projector instead. We love how portable it is. I wasn’t too sure about the Google TV software but I was surprised of how well it works! The sound quality is great, no need to have another speaker attached. Watching a movie is a special event in our home now.
