I've been using the machine for three months now and I'm pretty happy with it. It is a simple rowing machine, nothing fancy about it, but it gets the job done. I live in a small house with roommates and this machine fits in my room well. It is a little hard for me to move around, but I have never had such a hard time with it that it keeps me from working out. It's not the stupidest machine, and for me that's fine since I have a petite frame, but if you are a large dude or something this may not be great for you. For where I am in life right now, and simply wanting the machine for a nice variation in my full body workouts, it's perfect. If you are simply wanting a small machine at a really economical price point that will simply just let you row and get the job done, this is the machine for you.

I had some difficulty putting this together because some of the parts were numbered wrong. But it wasn't too hard to figure out. This rowing machine is perfect for people who are just getting into fitness or looking for an affordable piece of equipment. It feels sturdy and durable. It's quiet too. I rowed for 20 mins my first workout and I was really happy with the experience. Everything just felt smooth. When I was first looking for a rowing machine, I was going to buy a 400 dollar one. I'm really glad I went with this one though. The only thing I really don't like is the LCD screen for the workout data. It's pretty low tech but again this is a cheaper option. Rowing is a full body cardio workout with zero impact, perfect for people with lower back or knee problems. I recommend rowing for people who are older or very overweight specifically, because they can get a good cardio workout without putting a lot of stress on the joints. Just keep in mind that this machine has a weight limit. I would recommend this thing to anyone!

This review for Sunny Health & Fitness SF-RW5622 Dual Function Magnetic Rowing Machine. What I like: Good value. Near Silent mechanism, so I can watch videos while using it. Folds up easily - saves space. Front casters make moving around easier. 2 position footrest locations. Footrests are sturdy. Standup exercise arm curls possible. Can improve on: Magnetic resistance could be a bit light (even at maximum setting of 9) for a strong person who wants a more powerful, intense work-out. For me it is ok, I am doing more aerobic, 1000 strokes sessions. If you want a short, high resistance workout, this may not be for you. The seat feels a bit uncomfortable after 30 minutes. I found a solution – I wear my biking shorts with built-in seat cushion. I found the standup arm curling position not that useful. I have free weights which work much better for arms. If you don’t then this machine may be a good alternative. The assembly is not hard, takes about 15 minutes. Shipment is quite heavy, like 75 pounds. All tools are provided. After assembly, I had to move the foot rests to the lower position because my knees were hitting the row bar. The monitor display very simple info. (Ok for me as I only care about Strokes and ET.)

So COVID hit - gyms closed - what do ya do? Buy equipment for home. Darn it. Well glad I was pushed to get this, I have been so happy with it and wish I got it sooner. Packaging: came boxed and well packaged. Set up: easy to set up, took maybe 30 to 45 minutes. The only criticism I have is the instructions had a tricky part for the direction of the front feet but otherwise good instructions. Use: The pull action feel is even and smooth. I was worried it might feel jerky or not an even tension from start to end of pull but it really is smooth the whole way through. Other points: its quiet, it is minimal so does not make the space look untidy (I have mine set up in the lounge to the side where I can see the TV).

We have been using this rowing machine about two weeks now and here are our impressions. First its easy to assemble and easy to use. It is extremely quiet just as advertised. It folds up and has rollers on the front so when you tilt it slightly it is easy to move to sore it. We are little older so the low profile makes it a little harder to mount. We elected to put it on a base to raise it up a bit so problem is solved. I'm sure there are higher tech machines out there with more features but you spend twice or three times the price. If you are looking for a great way to get some exercise and not competitive rower this is a great choice. We have it set up in a spare bedroom and put a outdoor rowing YouTube video on have a great time.

This is the initial review following assembly and about one week of use. Assembly was straightforward; instructions could have been a bit more clear, but tools were included and there were few enough parts and few enough kinds of screws that I was never in doubt about what to do. The seat had a bit of a crack on the underside, if that ever causes an issue, I'll downgrade, but it's been working fine so far. The rower work, and works well. The two cons: * resistance is extremely weak. I have it on it's highest settings and can barely feel the difference. About twice the resistance would have been required for a higher rating. * The foot pedals are slightly misshapen (not a show stopper), but the bands that are supposed to fix the feet to the pedals have way too little in terms of velcro. I have huge feet, but even when I fasten them as tightly as possible, there is too much play and I easily slip out.

I think this is solid product for the price. Assembly wasn't bad, but "step 4" in the assembly should be broken into two steps with more detailed diagram. Had to study that one a while, but once I understood it was easy to put together. I think it's good for the money. This is my first rower, so I don't have anything to compare. But from an exercise standpoint, I wish the highest resistance level was more resistance. I'd like to get my heart pumping a bit more without just having to speed up the rowing, and more resistance would provide that. Not nearly enough resistance for curls as they advertise if you've got much strength at all. Still, good for the money and sturdy product.
