This Staub pot is large, well made and great looking. The quality is typical of other Staub items that are sold in the United States. I was originally worried because there was a disclaimer that said it may be different than Staub that is sold in the US, but it was not any different, although it might actually be of better quality. The steamer insert is fantastic, and I have already used it to cook seafood and with vegetables. The pot, lid, and steamer insert all seal very nicely with each other. I have no bad things to say about the pot or seller, but my wife did say that the lid is very heavy to her. You may want to consider that if you have issues picking up heavy items. Best pot in my kitchen! The deal is too good to be true, so I was skeptical until I received the cocotte (which was pretty fast considering it is coming from overseas) . I have been a le creuset user until I needed a steamer of this kind which Le Creuset doesn’t offer, so I looked for the next best thing which is Staub, and I’ve been blown away! I have been converted to Staub as it is just superior on many fronts, and the steamer is top notch quality, I can’t believe I got this good of a deal on such a quality product! Bottom line is this is the best most versatile pot in my kitchen, great for searing, sautéeing, steaming… you name it. After being a long time le creuset user, next time I need a dutch oven I am going with Staub. ... show more

According to Amazon, this shipped from England ans was worth the short wait. We have an extensive Staub collection and love them for the very consistent heat throughout the pots. The only double boiler available on the American market is very shallow and allows for little water and few veggies. This pot, with the insert that fits above the top of the pot is a more traditional fit and works like a dream! Highly recommend! ... show more
