TL;DR It's a durable, spacious, convenient mid sized tool tote and great for the price. No complaints. I work in new construction as a plumber. I was tired of digging through my Husky tool backpack setup. I would have to unzip, dig through the bottom just to find my tape measure or bits or what have you. I looked around quite a bit for an open-faced style tray like this, but couldn't find anything suitable. My other challenge was getting it to fit inside my locking storage bin on the work truck so I could leave my things locked up at night instead of having to lug my tools home every night. This tote is durable, spacious and seems to be high quality. The bottom tote portion fits all my hand tools (quite a bit like hammer, levels, two tapes, 3 crimp tools, a battery charger, square and room for a good bit more). The top case portion holds my impact with a battery on it, a 5 amp battery, a Dewalt bit set case, and a single bay battery charger perfectly. The fact that it snaps to the top and disconnects with one hand makes it super convenient and a breeze to use. The handle is a little on the large side, but is very sturdy and sort of slides into a locked position while carrying it so you don't have to work about the tote spilling or tipping. If you're on the fence about this thing, I say just give it a try. I love it. Especially if you're in a trade where you have many tools to bring in and out of a job site everyday. So convenient and nice. Another plus is all my tools are Dewalt so it matches 😎.

Personal experience intro: I bought this DEWALT tool tote as a gift for my partner, who works in house painting. I wanted something practical, durable, and that would make his workday easier. After doing some research and reading several reviews, I decided to go with this model… and it was absolutely the right choice. Product details: The quality is excellent. It’s made of sturdy metal with a solid, heavy-duty design that feels built to last. The bottom tote section is very spacious and holds a good amount of hand tools — like brushes, small rollers, tape, screwdrivers, a level, masks, and more — without feeling cramped. The top case fits power tools like a drill, extra batteries, bit cases, and a charger perfectly. Everything stays well organized and easy to access. The snap-on/snap-off system is super convenient — it can be detached with one hand, which is especially helpful when wearing gloves or in a rush. The metal handle is on the larger side, but it’s very sturdy. It locks into place when lifted, so there’s no worry about the tote tipping or spilling while carrying it. I really like this tool box, fits a good amount of tools in between the removable top section and the bottom. Its also really easy to separate the two. I can't really make a comment towards the durability since I mainly use it to store my household tools, I'm not taking it to a jobsite.

Good box, good construction on lower can hold a lot of tools, easy to weigh the box down with hand tools. Top is well organized great for drills or if you are just ocd about keeping stuff separated. Big knocks are that the latches tend to fall out after awhile so you have to keep track of them and the lid has a tendency to misalign at the hinges and not close properly. Neither are a deal breaker with such a rugged. Top handle might be the best feature, makes the box functional even really weighed down,

I love this thing, it's big and sturdy and not expensive. You should know though that it in no way nests with the T-STAK system, and it's got a big old yellow handle for the smaller compartment that sticks out. Not a square profile with that jutting out. HOWEVER: unlike one review I read, the compartments separate easily with the push of a button - I think the guy who was having problems was trying to pull it. Overall this is a sweet chunky toolbox.

This is a really nice tool box designed especially for folks who need to organize and safely store their tools. I have three of these tool boxes and they all arrived in perfect condition. My tools are now organized into automotive, general cordless tools, and household plumbing and electrical tool for quick and easy access. The nice handle makes this box easy to carry as well. We have a place where everything metal rusts very quickly. So, these tool boxes are the obvious choice.

I bought this Dewalt toolbox in 2020, nearly 4 years ago. Primarely, I use it to keep my house tolls organized. These are my insights: 1. WHAT IS THE QUALITY OF THE PRODUCT? - As a mentioned in the title, this tool box is built as a tank. High quality plastic, which has a flex to it, is extremely hard to damage. The hinges and the carring handle are extremely strong. The amount of tools I have weigh over 30 lb. 2. HOW DOES THIS PRODUCT PERFORM? - There are two parts to this toolbox. The top smaller part, which is detachable by pressing a side button, I use for small, easy to find tools. Inside the top part, there is a compartment that you can close, where you can keep tiny tools or parts, that you don't want to mix with the other tools. Also in that top part, there are 3 dividers. The bottom part, which is deep, I use for larger heavier tools. Photos are attached. 3. IS THE PRODUCT EASY TO USE? - Extremely easy to use and to open up. Once you place the top part on the bottom one, it locks itself. And the aluminum handle makes it extremely easy to carry around, or to put in your truck. 4. IS THE PRODUCT A GOOD VALUE FOR THE MONEY? - The best, because it can really last you a lifetime. 5. WOULD I RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT TO YOU? - Absolutely. There are not a lot of things I need to think about a toolbox - it needs to serve a purpose, to be rugged, and it needs to withstand a serious beating. This one does it all.

Dewalt is good stuff and they r tough as they say and I need it to put my 2 drills I have that won't fit in a tool bag I have 4 my circ saw and another cordless drill that I am using to build an out door kitchen @ my sweeties house. The drills r dewalt one is corded and the other a xrp and corded drill plus some drill and drive cases I want the tool bag 4 the saw in witch the batteries fit it and to add extra blades and that and to make room 2 use the other case 4 my other drills the corded and the non xrp cordless dewalt that have the slimmer NiCad batteries. I brought the xrp for 2 use the bigger bats 4 the circular to use the bigger bats 4 more run time and power to cut 2 x 4 's And plywood. the smaller bats only work a little while as the xrp's last longer but all in all the case fits my needs and should work 4 anyone needing a tool tote 4 their power tools and accessories needed 4 thier dewalts or drills compatible with this case sorry the circular saw 61/2 in. will not fit it is 2 big. a cordless dewalt jig or recip might fit but the circ saw will not fit I was told by a friend who has this and tried it 4 that purpose. he kept the tot 4 his drill and bought the dewalt 18 in.tool bag 4 the saw.
