I had to replace my old natural gas burner that came with my original fireplace log set. My old one had an arm that came up into the logs, this one does not so I had to place the actual burner tray on the fireplace grate instead of under (otherwise all you got was flame under the logs instead of in the legs like a real fire). Also this doesn't seem to regulate gas very effectively... it's really either on full force (big fire) or barely on (fire too small). Not even a tiny turn helps to adjust the fire. I noticed its also loud...you can hear the gas (my old one you couldn't). The connect hose was short...BUT the great thing about this burner is you can connect to the tray on either the left or the right side! It will do for now... and for the price... but I will continue to shop around for a good deal and replace it sooner than later. If you plan on using this with fire glass...aka fire and ice... it is PERFECT!!!! This is prob great for NG burning outdoors!!! Bonus...super easy to install. Does not come with pipe thread glue or tape though (no big deal...that is $2 at hardware store) ... show more

The flame looks real combined with the glowing embers, the sand, lava rock, and fake wood. Definitely beats having to keep stocked up on firewood, especially on a cold night. I can just fire up the gas flame and enjoy a beautiful fire whenever I want.

This is a fantastic little burner. I got the smallest size because my fireplace is tiny and tapers pretty small in the back. It fits perfectly and allows enough space between the burner and side walls of the fireplace. The ONLY complaint I have is that when the gas is on, it makes quite a loud hissing noise - even when the flame is lit. I almost wonder if the tubes of the burner and holes where the gas come out are too big, which is creating that noise? Or perhaps it's valve connecting the gas pipe to the burner (definitely confirmed there's absolutely no leaks). Although, if I turn the gas all the way on, it's an inferno, so keeping the flames a bit more tame with the valve control makes that better, and the noise is slightly reduced. Play some music in the background, and you kind of forget about the hissing. Otherwise, this is a great gas burner that produces a lovely flame for just the right ambiance you're looking for! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Satisfied customer. People complain its too loud, my farts are louder than this ok people. They act like its fireworks or something. This burner is good compared to the original burner my chimney came with.
