This works amazing for pellet litter. All I have to do is get out their number twos and stir it around a little and shake. It back-and-forth a little to get all the sawdust to fall to the bottom. I only have to change the bag that I put in the bottom, maybe every two weeks. Makes life super easy and it doesn’t smell at all. Only bad thing is it’s a little small. By far the best sifting litter box I've ever had. It is perfect for pine pellets The saw dust drops to the bottom, keeping the fresh pellets on top. My litter lasts so much longer and tracking is now limited to the big pellets.... although I can't figure out how my 6lb cat does it. Most likely intentional 😆 I travel in a small trailer and there is absolutely no smell from her box. ... show more

It works great for pellet kitty litter. You can even use a liner to catch the sawdust and dispose of it since it’s wood you could let it dry out and burn it in your yard. There’s no comparison to Clay litter. No smell, no powder residue and no heavy clumping.

Hubs and I disagree on how often we should be dealing with cat litter, he prefers just once a week, everything I have read says it should be cleared of clumps daily. This works better when cleaned DAILY, I have to use scooper to actually sift the sawdust down into the bottom pan, it doesn't do it on its own (especially when the pellets are more than a 1-2" layer.) I am happy with the lower level of odor with pine pellets, and I like being able to remove the bag from the bottom pan to do the "weekly dump". ... show more

    • Tips over easier than the larger ones

We do wildlife rehab, and I’ve used some stainless litter box like this in raccoon cages last year, but they were too large for the breeze pads. These are actually a bit smaller than the breeze pads, but that was OK. The pad can just be pushed up the side of the bottom panel a little bit. I did have a problem with the raccoons tipping this over. When a raccoon sat on the edge of it, it flipped up on one side. I never had that happen with any of the larger ones. Had there been liquid in it it would’ve been a problem. This happened two times with a young raccoon that was 4 or 5 pounds ... show more

The sifter pan is a neucence when you have to put peepads under it, only works couple days with one cat, the stainless steel pan is great, easy to clean, doesn’t hold smells, with the sifter pan and the pine pellets very waistful
