On the directions it says that it works best for brunettes I am a brunette it turned my hair black not red I'm waiting for it to wear off some and see if the color is better it looked beautiful on my daughter she has a lighter color of brunettes it was vibrant and beautiful on her so if you have a darker color of brunettes use the bleach if you can I am allergic that's why I did not ... show more

Messy as hell, but nice color. I don't bleach my hair to get the bright color, but dye over my existing dark brown hair. The result is noticeable but subtle (I'm a nurse, I can't get too crazy). I've used this combined the color with Purple Desire, and Crimson Obsession, and got a nice burgundy color (I have long hair, needed more). It will bleed every time you wash your hair for several weeks, so remember to use dark towels, and say goodbye to a nice clean tub. If you have long hair, get a few packets, one won't cover, and you'll end up with streaky hair. ... show more

This was the second time I ordered this product. The first time I ordered I was so happy with the color that I ordered it again when it finally started to fade after a couple months. The second order was delivered if the dye coloring open so it was unusable.
