We have solar panels and can monitor energy production and consumption from our solar app. Our hot tub has a hard top that has never sealed right. When there’s freezing temps, like now, we can see steam coming from the hot tub top seams. We installed this and the average daily energy consumption of our home went from 92.02 kWh to 52.69 kWh. We've been using this cover, cut to size, since last spring, and it's very durable. It was easy to cut. I'm using it to heat a spa up to over 100°, when it's freezing outside in the desert. So, I'm wondering if two layers would help keep the heating cost down.
