There appears to be a listing change here and a lot of the reviews (at least video/photo) are for a different, larger model with a bend. I saw and received this slightly smaller, tubular adapter that it’s now listed as. Also now 80A vs the other 48A I believe. I tried it for like 2 minutes a local destination charger and it worked without fuss. Full 48A for my car at 200V so just under 10kw. Note that the destination chargers must be setup to allow non-teslas, but most appear to be. Check PlugShare. It feels solid and it’s very small which is nice. Will update if it gives me any issues. I don’t think I’ll use it often but I have a trip next month I bought it for. ... show more

The 3 stars is not for the adapter. The adapter itself would probably be a 5 star but I couldn't use it to test it out. Word of warning for people to look up on Teslas website before ordering any adapters. People will probably think if you buy an adapter you can charger at any tesla stations but I have come to find out that you can only charge your non tesla cars at certain tesla stations but not all of them. There is a section for non tesla car charging stations to check if any are near you. Figures that the closet one to me is 135 miles and none at all in the whole state of Missouri or Kansas! Sigh! We only have 1 fast station Electrify America in our area and they suck and the rest of the non tesla stations are level 2. We wanted this adapter to have use if the many Tesla charging stations in our area and figured if we had an adapter we could charge at any station. Of course it would be our luck that it's only certain stations and none in our state! Extremely frustrating!!! We have to return this adapter because it's no use to us if we can't use it!!! ... show more

I like the design but the Rivian doesn’t stay plugged in unless you support the Tesla handle. It should click into the vehicle but doesn’t. And won’t stay charging.
