My structure is 30 x 30 inches. This cover is a perfect fit being large enough to put on and off without difficulty. There is no question that it is waterproof and tough enough to survive storms. Even without using the drawstrings at the bottom it is not going anywhere.

Ordered this to replace the cheap one that came with my fireplace. I live in OR where it rains all the time, the cheap one tore and let water in and got the rocks and lighter to wet to start. No complaints. We purchased this cover for the Telvin Steel Wood Burning Fire Pit (as there were complaints that it rusted easily). Bought this to protect a 32 inch fire pit. It was a good fit, but left a gap at the bottom so the feet of the fire pit got wet. But that would have been OK, except that when I removed the cover after a rain, the top of the fire pit was wet. The cover was dry when I removed it. Only thing I can figure is that the seams of the cover were right at the top edges of the fire pit table; and the seam wasn't watertight. Maybe I just got a bad one. Returned it. ... show more

After a day of rain, I removed the cover and discovered that quite a bit of water had leaked through the cover and gotten the fire pit wet. I believe this is due to the flat top of the cover leading to puddles of standing water that sit around until they evaporate and likely leak water through the material. It would be nice if the cover was designed to have a slight slope to it to prevent these puddles from forming. ... show more

The cover that came with my new fire table was not only not waterproof, condensation built up and caused the pan to rust. This new cover is fully waterproof, there is no condensation and my fire table no longer rusts! It fits well and so far, has worn well. Very happy and would recommend.

I've had this square SHINESTAR fire pit cover for over a year now and it has survived through wind and rain all spring and fall, blazing hot 90 plus degree summer temps with humidity and below zero temps during the winter, here in Minnesota. This cover doesn't crack like many other brands of covers have done in the cold temperatures! The venting on the sides also helps to make sure that condensation doesn't build up under the cover. I purchased this fire pit cover to replace the standard one that came with my fire pit, which ripped at the corner and was providing no protection. This cover is very good quality and provides a bungee around the bottom to ensure a tooth fit and will not blow away.
