We have four young hens in a run but the sun has been very intense and directly overhead so they could never find a spot completely out of the sun, so we bough this shade fabric to protect them. The bungee balls made it very easy to attach to the deck rails. We then stretched it across the top of the run and down the far side of the pen. It was easy to attach to the goat wire and the gate and the coop. It provides plenty of shade but still allows fresh air in. The grommets and bungee balls are so handy and adaptable in various applications. I was a little concerned that the 90% might block too much sun and I knew I needed more than 50% for my garden spot.
