This is my third Robo vac and my favorite. I got this because I have five dogs, all shedders and all of them are slobs. My Dyson vacuum got clogged and lost suction because the hair was too much. Very nice vacuum. This robot cleans the floor as advertised. It does a great job. The box was a little damaged when received. But, the factory packaging was enough to keep the inside from damage. It worked for a month and then it malfunctioned. It kept detecting a drop off (cliff) and would stop. Nothing I could do would reset it. I was told by phone from their rep that when this issue happens it is a permanent problem and that they would send me a new one. The new one never came. We have white tile in the kitchen/dining area and two dogs that shed (husky/german shepherd mix and a corgi). We hated pulling out the big vacuum and mop to keep the floors clean. We run this three times a week in kitchen and living room (dark wood) on vacuum only and every night on mop in the kitchen dining. I love this duo robot. I think when people are buying they are expecting a deep clean tho. You aren’t going to get a deep clean. This is very handy for daily use in between heavy cleaning. I’ve used it every day. The noise isent bothersome at all! Sure you hear it but it’s not over powering the room. I up graded from the vacuum only and I love it. I have finished hard wood floors and it does and amazing job. I find myself running 2 and some times 3 times a day. Got my Shark Yesterday on March 2rd and when I got it out of the box and got it on the charger I pull up the app and was trying to connect it to the Shark WIFI and it would not connect at all, I tried my husband phone to and it did the same thing so I was not happy about that because I spent a lot of money on it for it not to work! To be clear, I am reviewing the version with "No Self-Empty Base" and "Standard Mapping + Row-By-Row Cleaning" The Shark IQ vacuum has some good things and some bad things, so let's start with the positives: First off, by combining a vacuum and a mop into one robot, the Shark solves two cleaning tasks in one. This is the first combo robot I have used and I was grateful for the convenience. The vacuum is really good. The suction power is good enough to get most of the cat and dog hair. I think my main problem here is having two cats and a dog. Lots of hair everywhere!. The Shark can get a lot of it but will inevitably leave some behind. Setup was fairly easy, but mine came with no charge. I do recommend charging it over night. After downloading the app and creating an account, the app walks you through the setup steps. After setup, the vacuum will do a mapping run, which can take some time depending on the size of your house. Now onto the not so good things. The mopping function, while super convenient, is less than stellar. For our house, we have tile. While mopping, the Shark will sometimes miss spots near or around the grout. Also, the mopping is not as deep cleaning as I would have expected. For everything that is advertised, I felt like one of my children had mopped after this robot had finished. As mentioned before, the vacuum is good but not perfect. I will sometimes find little clumps of pet hair that the robot had tried to pick up but just left behind for whatever reason. Finally, sometimes the robot will just act lost. It's mapped the whole house but sometimes it will act as if it's never seen my house. Thankfully, this doesn't seem to happen too often, but when it does it is quite annoying. Overall, it is a robot vacuum that is super convenient and it will do a fairly good job around the house on average. I would plan a once a month, hands on and in depth manual cleaning if you care about an immaculate house. The robot is good for everyday, small messes or maintenance cleaning during the times between manual cleaning. In the end, it's not perfect, but it is sure better than manual cleaning all the time! ... show more
