I didn't want to bleach my hair. I'm going through medical stuff that's making my hair really fragile. Lunar tides gave my dark blonde hair a gorgeous tinted look without use of bleach or harsh smelling chemicals. The actual product smells vaguely fruity. Like a gel air freshner. But it's not overpowering. It's pleasant. The color is highly pigminted and I barely needed to use any product to get a vibrant color. On my son's light blonde hair the color is VERY bright and saturated. After rinsing the color out, my hair was left so silky soft and hydrated and healthy feeling. I've NEVER colored my hair before and had it come out feeling so healthy afterwards. I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a gentler hair color. It's also awesome that you only have to use as much as you need and can keep the rest sealed up for touch ups later! Thanks Lunar Tides! Updated for Pastel Iris: Stunning color pay out even though there was still a touch of brass in my hair. My hair is healthy enough to bleach again and I'm living for these more pastel but atill vivid shades!

I dye my hair all the time and this is one of the best (if not THE best) semi-permanent dyes I've tried!!! I'm naturally blonde so color has a hard time staying in my hair, but it doesn't leak color after showering/swimming and after a few weeks it hasn't faded at all. It's just as vibrant as the day I dyed it! For once I can wear white without worrying about it rubbing off and staining!! I've tried Lime Crime, Manic Panic, Punky, Got2B, Arctic Fox, Colorista, Splat (ew), and Iro Iro and I have never had a result like this! From now on, I'm loyal to Lunar Tides and I heavily recommend it to anyone who has had a hard time finding a dye that works for them !!!

Different then I expected

For starters, the consistency of this dye is super nice, same with the smell. I have level 7 hair with some density and down to the small of my back. (I used almost the whole 8 ounces) The color showed up a lil darker and a redder tone then I thought it would. I like how it turned out though and it was easy enough to apply. Update: After one wash it looks super faded and a lot of color came out. It looks like it is weeks faded. Out of all the brands I’ve tried (Manic Panic and Arctic Fox) this one has faded the fastest. Update: It is still bleeding color after 3-4 washes

Color that always packs a punch

I cannot rave about this brand enough. The color smells nice, goes on smooth and is so highly pigmented it’s crazy! From an electric hot pink down to a true beautiful forest color lunar tides has never missed on any shade they’ve set out to make.

Lychee pink is worst pink dye I’ve ever used

I’ve been dying my hair for 20+ years and, while I’ve done every color, pink is always my favorite. I used lunar tides neon guava and loved it. This time I tried the lychee pink and I’ve never had my hair come out this unexpectedly. Used on freshly bleached hair, left for 45 minutes, and rinsed in cold. It’s almost lilac and barely stayed in. Super disappointed.
