My last automatic litter box was a very expensive name brand, and it worked really well…but for the price. So, when I saw the price on this one, I was a little skeptical that it would measure up. But I am pleasantly surprised. This box was easy to assemble, the app download was easy, and it functions well. I have a newly adopted kitten and was worried that the noise and functions might freak her out. Since she is tiny, I set the box on the “kitten” setting, that way I can monitor and cycle the clumps out when she is away from the box. The machine is very quiet, so it doesn’t bother her a bit. However, I have to watch her when it’s running because she is fascinated with it and wants to go inside and check it out. I am also pleased with the odor control, the litter drawer seals well, and I haven’t detected any unpleasant odors coming from it. I also like the fact that it’s smaller than my older machine, so I can put it in a hidden corner out of the way. I will add that the interior is a little smaller too, so it might be a problem if you have a large cat. But, since my kitten is growing up with it, I don’t foresee any issues as she grows. Overall, this is a nice basic automatic litter box that functions as well as the more expensive brand. It’s quiet and contains the odors. I honestly can’t see a downside, so I recommend it highly!

I have been using this litter box for a few weeks now. I have a kitten who took right to it after putting her in it once. She has no issues using it. However, our male kitten is not a fan. lol He prefers the regular one. The instructions were easy to understand and it was put together within minutes. You have a max fill line for the litter. Once the cat gets out after using it, it will give it time to clump up and then start rotating. It gets all the clumps out and they fall down to a bin. This drawer opens and closes without fidgeting with it. The box comes with 2 rolls of litter trash bags to start out with. You also get a litter mat that has been very helpful. The litter falls off and you just open it up over the trash can. As for the cleaning - wow! I did not think it was going to be as easy as it was. I sprayed the pieces and within a few swipes it came clean. No scrubbing involved at all! One problem we were running in to at first though, our kitten was under 2lbs so it was not registering her lol. It tells you it will not in the booklet. So you will need to manually hit the button for it to clean until they are over. The best part is, it has wifi!!! And I already had the app they use installed for my daughter's nightlight which was even better. (I have had the app for years now - 100% safe!) It synced up immediately with the litter box. So you can hit the clean button from your phone. It tells you how much litter is in there and when it needs replaced. I would highly recommend this litter box! It makes life a tad bit easier with our fur babies lol.

Straight out of the box, I was impressed with this automatic litter box. It came mostly assembled, and following the included instructions, I had it set up in just a few short minutes without using any tools or extra hardware. I love that. Everything snaps neatly into place. It can look a bit overwhelming at first with the number of moving parts and connection points, but the video on the Amazon page made everything crystal clear. I watched it before the unit even arrived and expected a full assembly process, so it was a great surprise to find that most of the work was already done. Once running, it works beautifully. It keeps everything clean and tidy, cycling automatically to remove waste and refresh the litter. The operation is fairly quiet, with only a soft hum from the motor as it rotates. The unit is lightweight enough to move for cleaning around it, yet sturdy enough to hold even our hefty Ragdoll cat without any issues. After several uses from two cats, I have noticed no unpleasant odors. The litter tray has a quality rubber seal around the top that keeps smells locked in. I also appreciate the inclusion of two rolls of waste bags, which was a thoughtful extra touch. Cleanup is minimal. The video demonstration goes further into disassembly than what is usually needed for basic cleaning, so you can easily keep it fresh with a quick wipe. Occasionally, if a cat “misses” the litter bed, you might see some litter stick to the side walls, but that takes only a few seconds to wipe clean. We completely ditched our old automatic litter box that used disposable trays, and we will never go back. This one is so much easier to maintain. Just pull the drawstring, remove the bag, replace it with a new one, and you are done. The entire process takes less than a minute. Overall, I am genuinely impressed with this machine. The build quality, ease of use, and effectiveness make it well worth the price. It pays for itself in time saved and keeps our home smelling clean and fresh. If you want less work and happier cats, this litter box is the way to go.

I have been using the Littermaid rake style litter box for about 20 years. When my first generation box finally wore out, I got the second generation. But they changed the design and it never functioned as well as the original, so I've been on the lookout for something better ever since. I researched the Litter Robot, but they are too expensive, too big, and I read about cats getting their tails ripped off in them. So when I had the opportunity to try this EazyPaws G1 litter box, i jumped at the chance. Assembling it is easy and straightforward with the included instructions. I did have a little trouble getting the app to sync, but that's because it requires precise location services to be turned on. After I see Willow's usage pattern, I may not use the app, because I don't like having my location turned on. Based on the description, I thought the app would show my cat's weight, but it does not. It does show when he uses it and how long he spends inside. I use World's Best litter, and it works great in it. With the rake-type litter boxes, urine tends to get stuck on the bottom. However, this removes the urine clumps with ease! The refuse container has a rubber seal, to help prevent odors. The clean cycle takes a couple of minutes to complete. I included a video that shows the cleaning cycle, but it had not been used yet, so there was nothing to remove. I placed the box in the same place as the old one, with the same type of litter, and Willow, my cat, jumped right in with no hesitation. He's 12 pounds and fits inside and can turn around easily. The only issue I have had, is with the mat. It came curved around the globe, so it did not lie flat. However, I put it under our wood stove until it got hot, and it leveled out. The top side of the mat is mesh to catch the litter from his paws inside the mat. It opens on one end, so the trapped litter can be dumped out. The mat is very lightweight, though, so when Willow jumps in and out of the box, it moves around. I may mount it to something heavier so it stays in place or put double-stick tape on the bottom. So far I am very impressed with this automatic litter box! It seems to be of high build quality. It looks nice in my laundry room, and Willow likes it. If you wait until it's on sale, it's a much better value than the name brand box.

If you made a deal with your kids that they’d help take care of any pet you got, this will be a great improvement to YOUR life! No more scooping over-filled litter boxes when the kids were grossed out by them! This was really, really easy to set up, on the order of 10 minutes. It’s about as easy to assemble as any other enclosed litter box. It comes with nearly everything you need; nearly, because it does not include a step at the front. While our cat seems to have adapted well, the box opening sits pretty high and an older or more anxious cat may have trouble getting in and out. The box is fully automated, operating by use of internal sensors to detect when your cat is present, through motion and weight. It is configured to “scoop” each time your cat goes, waiting an adjustable interval after your cat leaves before scooping itself. It’s among the more gentle scoopers, rotating slowly around the opening like a cement mixer; even if the sensor were to fail and your cat were still inside, the worse they’ll get is a shower of poo and litter, and your cat would have to be very lazy and chill to not jump out as soon as it started rotating. It takes about a minute to cycle, rotating 180-degrees to sift the litter into a hidden “pocket” in the side of the box; the clumped waste sifted out in the process continues to slide to the bottom of the shell, where the rotating shell reveals an opening beneath that the waste falls into. A box underneath, prepared with a drawstring bag, catches the waste for near effortless disposal. Refilling the box is just as easy; when the box is idle, removing the retaining bracket that runs around the top reveals the “hole” that the waste falls through at the bottom of the cycle. Just pour new litter in the top! It takes far, far less litter than large litter boxes, and if overfilled past the “MAX” line, excess litter will not fit in the pocket, and will be disposed of when the unit cycles. It’s first cycle runs 180-degreees, and returns about 200-degrees; this is well calibrated to allow the litter to slide back into a “flat” position, before the litterbox returns to center. It is WiFi enabled, which isn’t strictly necessary to set up, but gives you features that cannot be used without the app. I already had the app installed (it uses the SmartLife app, which is also used to control a lot of other home automation items), but I couldn’t get my account to work on my daughter’s phone. If you have successfully set up multiple members of your family with that app, adding this to your household should give everyone control of it. There isn’t much to the app itself because the litter box is automated. The most valuable feature it adds is the ability to create a sleep schedule so that the unit will not run during the night, or whenever you don’t want it to make noise. It also lets you set the delay time between when it detects the cat leaving to when it runs; by default, it waits 2 minutes before “processing” you cat’s doody. Like other similar apps, it does require your WiFi credentials to connect, so there is some potential security risk there. It does allow you adjust settings and cycle the box remotely. My daughter is so happy not having to empty the litterbox, and with a good odor-suppressing litter, you can go for a long time between maintenance. It’s not just reasonably priced compared to mainstream competitors, but the mechanism is stupid simple compared to many other automatic litter boxes, It looks like you would have to well and truly abuse it to break it.

This self-cleaning litter box has been great for me and my cat. It took about a week for him to get used to it, but now he loves it, and I love not scooping constantly or dealing with litter box smells. It’s quiet, and easy to assemble. The design is practical—the used litter falls into a bottom tray, bags are easy to replace, and the entry is roomy for all cats. A little higher off the ground than traditional boxes, but otherwise durable and convenient.

I should note, my cats are still getting used to the new set up. It looks small at first, but my orange maine coon can fit in here with ease, so it's alright for bigger cats. I haven't seen my cats use it yet, but I will update it once they do. It was very easy to set up, though the instructions have some...grammatical errors, I got the gist of what it wanted. The wifi was easy to set up, and the controls on it are pretty nifty! It just requires the right Wifi password and boom, you're hooked up! It's quite handy to have everything on your phone. I haven't had the opportunity to see what it's like when it's used, but I hope to soon. There's a few buttons on the front that are simple and effective. I will say, it's a little high up for most cats so I would recommend a stair or something for them to enter, especially senior cats. I would also recommend making sure the "3" part is correctly on (this filters clumps and litter) as mine was not. Although easy to put back in it's place. It really doesn't take much to maintain it. I would give it a clean every couple of weeks, as it seems litter gets outside the netting which is fine. God, I hope this is the end of my scooping days.
