We have 4 cats ranging in weight from 8-16 lbs. I've been considering automatic for quite a while but was concerned about frightening the cats out of using the litter box. I tried other models which either didn't work out of the box or stopped working within the first month. This Ellenpent litter box comes almost entirely assembled, is large for my 16 pounder, moves slowly for the clean step, is aesthetically attractive set-up in a corner of the room, and is easy to control with the app. I did have trouble initially with the weight calibration step of the set-up (there is a two factor confirmation that your cat isn't in the box when the clean cycle starts - weight monitoring and an optical sensor across the door) but received fast support from EllenPent when I reached out for support. The issue was resolved by removing and reinstalling the app on my phone. The box itself is a great size - my biggest cat jumped right in when I set it up out of the box and sat in there like a playhouse before I put the litter in. I've also seen one of my smaller cats just hanging out in there. The door is big, so no contortion for the cat to enter, and there is a sturdy step which is smart. I haven't observed any litter sticking to the walls. The box is very, very quiet when it runs. I hear the litter rolling around more than any sound from the device itself. It was a factor to set a longer clumping time before cleaning to get good separation of the used and unused litter - I use 7m. The box is attractive and isn't an eyesore sitting in the living room. There is no appreciable odor - there is a cute feature of a small scent device that is inserted into a compartment with a computer fan on the side of the litter box - you can set a run time after use for the fan for air freshening. Now the Tuya app is a little weird and wants to control all of the wireless devices in your house, which I don't like - just focus on the litter box and get that right. There are just two buttons on the box itself - a cleaning button that can either do a litter clean or a complete litter dump for a whole device clean and also alerts you when the bin under the device is full, and a wireless indicator used for the initial connection of the litter box to the app where the majority of the controls are. On the app, you can select the type of litter being used, program the litter clumping time after the cat leaves the litter box, select the time the deodorizing fan runs, and select a clean cycle remotely, and set sleep hours during which the litterbox won't cycle. So overall very pleased - and certainly partially addresses a pain point of cleaning the litter boxes all of the time. I got a second one for my college daughter who has a cat in her small apt, so hoping this addresses the litter box cleaning issues for her and her 3 roommates. Thanks to Ellenpent for a good device.

I have been using this Ellenpent automatic litter box for a while now, and overall it has been a very positive experience. When I first received it, setup was straightforward with watch the setup video. It made the process easy to follow, and within a short time the unit was ready to use. I spent some time training my cat to get used to it, and she gradually became comfortable using it on her own. The automatic cleaning function is very convenient and consistently keeps the litter area tidy without needing frequent manual scooping. Being able to monitor and control the unit through the mobile app is also a nice feature and adds to the overall convenience. Odor control has been effective so far and helps keep the surrounding area smelling clean, which is important for indoor use. The litter box has a modern design and a large interior space, making it suitable for bigger cats or multi-cat households. The waste capacity is generous, so it doesn’t require constant emptying. It’s a really good litter box. It was easy to assemble, and appears easy to take apart and clean (although I haven’t yet needed to clean it) because the top and drum are two separate detachable components. My cat releases quite a bit (pee and poo) so for me, I likely need to change out the tray every 3-4 days, rather than 5-7 days. The only drawback is that litter does get outside of the automatic litterbox, so I have to sweep and/or clean around the area more than I’d like to. But overall, it’s a good product and exceptionally priced (when compared to the litter robot).
