It doesn’t waste any unused litter, only the clumps of excrement get discarded into the tray to be emptied. The bags are easy to put in and take out of the tray. Everything goes right into the bag just as it is supposed to. All I need to do is pull the tray, lift the bag out by the straps, tie it up, and take it outside to the garbage can. I recently switched to a self-cleaning litter box, and it has honestly made life so much easier. The biggest benefit is the convenience—no more scooping multiple times a day. I give it 5 stars now. Item received quickly and it's already assembled except for taking off the plastic. Set-up was a breeze however connecting to WiFi was in very small print. You hold the wifi button down for 3 seconds and make sure your Bluetooth is on your phone. Connection should occur easily from there. I left the old normal litter box beside the new one for a week and our kitten would pee immediately in the new auto litter box but still poop in the old one. After a week we removed her old one and she started doing both in the litter robot after that. It's a good item and I would recommend it. Beats having to clean out the normal litter robot every day, that's for certain. I did add a stool for her since she still small, but she likely doesn't need it.

The litter box is quiet. It works good. I don’t have to scoop litter anymore which is nice. The downside is the size. I have a huge Maine Coon. His body is halfway out when he uses it. It is not for large cats like the description states.
