Just opened the box today, VERY HAPPY. Out of the box it was very easy to attach the few connections. I gave it a test run just to make sure it is operational, and it was so easy to use that I ending up vacuuming the whole house even though I just did that yesterday. (and it still managed to pick up a lot more fur and dust even after the old vacuum did the job yesterday). It does everything my previous vacuum did plus more and better and easier. My main reasons for needing a new vacuum are (1) ease of use due to back pain issues and (2) for reaching under and behind furniture without a fuss. It's designed very well - easy on/off controls for the ET-1 powerhead are right there at my fingertips so I can vacuum my carpet and turn the motor off to safely do the fringe and floor. No need to change floor attachments. I love the adjustable suction control - it's super quite on low setting and an easy slide up to max power gives it great suction without increasing the noise level too much. So much quieter than any other vacuum I've had. The canister trails along behind me very easily, its lightweight and quiet wheels. (No more tugging and cursing.) The extending pole and the long hose make it super easy to reach way around me and all the way under the bed. No other vacuum ever did that for me without a huge fuss. The extending pole is nice because I can set it to the best length for my height so I don't need to be hunched over with an improper one size-fits-all length, and with a touch of a button it can be adjusted for hubby's height if he decides to vacuum for me. The only minor negative comments I have are (1) the parkay floor attachment falls off of its holder as soon as I pick up the vacuum - that is not important since the ET-1 powerhead does all floor types just fine so I doubt I'll use the floor attachment, I'll just leave it in the closet. and (2) I kept getting tangled up inside the long hose - I quickly learned that as long as I hold the hose with the empty hand I could avoid this problem altogether. That's an inherent problem with a long hose - easier to reach everywhere but more to get tangled in. Both of these nagatives are minor and easy to workaround so I would not hold it against the designers. This was is an excellent choice of vacuum even though the price was more than I expected to spend, but I did a lot of research before buying it and decided to take a chance. This is much better for my back and does a great job.

We had a Kenmore Elite canister vacuum that was highly recommended by a leading consumer publication (the one famous for not accepting advertising). It had excellent suction, but the powerhead kept pulling annoyingly to one side, the canister had poor wheel control, and the bare floor nozzle was simply too small. We had it for about six years when the handle broke, and that repair was going to cost us nearly half the price of the entire vac. Ridiculous! Between the original cost and the repair, we realized that a high-end brand was what we ultimately needed. We narrowed our choices to the Sebo Airbelt K3 and the Miele C1 Cat & Dog. The Sebo was a bit more expensive, especially after also ordering a Turbo Brush attachment tool, but we truly feel like we made the right decision by selecting the Sebo. We decided on the Sebo because it has the following advantages: - 25 ft cord and 37 ft radius vs. the Miele's 18 ft cord and 29.5 ft radius (this was a major reason) - The powerhead has a removable brush roller that requires NO TOOLS!! (another major reason) - Dual-handle controls are easier to use than controls that are mounted on the canister (another major reason) - The handle's hose swivels, so it is much easier to use and is more durable (another major reason) - The canister has a bumper all around the canister that keeps it from marking walls and furniture (another major reason) - The bags are slightly less expensive (minor reason because they are close in price) - Better filtration (minor reason since both are excellent) Both are terrific machines with plenty of power, both are very quiet, and both have tank-like build quality. However, the Sebo wins for the reasons above. It's one of the few appliances that I consider an "investment" instead of a mere "purchase." We are extremely pleased with the Sebo and feel that it is definitely worth price.

SEBO Airbelt K3 is small and easy to move and to store. It’s very quiet. I purchased it largely because of the excellent filtering system and efficiency. I’ve used Miele for many years and hated the experience because the machines are heavy and clumsy, and knocked paint off of wall corners. The SEBO is much better in this regard; however, the retractable cord has to be pulled all the way out and jerked hard in order to completely rewind. The hose twists itself when you move around, which is awkward. It picks up better than the Miele, having better brushes. This is a very expensive machine. The plusses outweigh the negatives, so I’m keeping it.

German design and manufacture, so it is of course superior and very well thought out. Because it's not bagless, the motor for this vaccum can be smaller, and it's amazingly quiet. Easy to connect and disconnect the powered brush roller or the floor attachments from the floor end of the wand. The powered brush roller has green and red indicator lights to tell the user whether the height (set with a dial on top) is correctly set. That required a little breaking in. I expect this vacuum to outlive me (I am nearly 71). My only quibble is that where the wand (with electric power connection) fits into the hose, it is a tight friction fit, and sometimes the wand slops loose from the hose.
