The Product description Does not mention write speeds at all. They did that on purpose to make people think its better than it really is. I tested the write speeds and i get a max of 11MB/s with crystal mark. The only speeds they mention are the Read speeds which when tested I got 140.6MB/s. For a USB 3.0 Device I'd say the SanDisk marketing team will fool many people. Transfer rate is "Up to 150MB/s" which technically is not wrong. and the READ speed as shown in my CrystalDiskMark holds true. The WRITE speed... is Slower then a decent USB 2.0 drives. I'm keeping it just for the read speed and space. ... show more

Had to edit my review. Only after a few months the Write speed dropped to below USB2 speeds. I wrote SanDisk and they simply stated that 'Write' speeds were never listed so no replacement. It took over 2 HOURS to just copy 45GB to this thumb drive which is not acceptable. SO DO NOT BUY -- poor customer service and they do not back their products ... show more

Wanted to people to know. This flash drive is unusable! Never used it normally because of it getting untouchable hot while trying to create windows 10 bootable drive for example. Never finishing copy process. So it is useless.. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

Delivery was prompt with Amazon Prime!!! This flash drive is amazing. I was able to "move" and/or "copy" dozens of files from my fone's internal storage as well as it's additional external storage chip. One copy/transfer was 3700 images/videos and took less than 8 minutes to complete (phone to Sandisk). The only "issue" I have with the SanDisk Ultra 128GB Dual Drive is that the "ports" are exposed to the elements. I would have left a 5 star rating, but it needs some sort of dust cover or caps for the plug ends, as I plan to keep one on my keychain, and there is no protection for dust, dirt, or pocket lint!. Maybe someone makes something for it, I hope. ... show more

    • Does NOT work with newer USB-C charging phones!

I loved this thing for a while. Its fast (usually), simple, and convenient, but... that was when I had a micro USB port on my phone. I have since updated to a newer phone, with a USB-C port and it no longer functions, even with a C adapter, and no word from Sandisk on upgrades.

Like the capacity vs price. Problem with product is the mini connector must be extended out of the plastic cover to plug it in and slides back in to the protective cover when you push on it to plug it in. The product cannot be used with a protective cover on the phone because the mini sub connector is not long enough. Software does not allow you to bsck up your SDram card on your phone. The software does not allow you to get a summary of the files on phone or what you back up to verify that you backed everything up. No file counts or ability to verify backups.
