I bought this SSD to replace the failing drive in my Razer Blade 15 Base Model (2020). Installation was straightforward (it’s a standard M.2 2280 NVMe drive, and it fit perfectly). After installing Windows and updating drivers, the laptop feels noticeably faster. Boot times are quick, apps open without lag, and everything runs smoothly. I can’t speak to long-term durability yet, but so far it’s been reliable and works exactly as expected. Great value for the price.     • Sandisk Optimus 5100 is a great cost effective alternative to the Western Digital 7100

I have installed this M.2 drive about a month ago, and its running great. Being almost as fast as the Western Digital Black 7100 which reads at 7,250 and writes at 6,900. The Sandisk Optimus 5100 reads at 7,100 and writes at 6,700 but costs $116.00 less then the Western Digital 7100 making the Optimus a cost effective alternative. The Optimus also comes with the same 5 year warranty. Thus, unless you are a gamer looking to maximize every bit of speed possiable, the Optimus 5100 will meet all the demands of most PC users, especially multasking business users. Since Sandisk now owns Western Digital, I am sure the quality and reliability will be on the same level, they even use the same Dashboard software for drive monitoring. ... show more
