  • WOW! Dog smell.. legit gone!
Okay so first it’s a new product and I was hesitant until I did some research into electrolyzed cleaning this seemed like an absolute no brainer! No need to buy cleaning solution means this thing doesn’t have really any ongoing costs! No chemicals to worry about reactions to my dogs or myself. Okay now to the actual end result. Multiple dogs who shed like crazy amount. Minimal carpet and I could still sometimes smell “dog” when you walk into the house. I ran this once and all I could smell was legitimately like a fresh cleaned pool! It’s my second or third favorite smell next to fresh cut grass and the beach. It picked up all the short dog hair with ease and cleaned up their slobber near the bowls, and under furniture with ease. The review about the self propel being aggressive or whatever. Couldn’t be further from the truth. This thing is light and can be easily controlled with minimal effort it wants to move initially just a like a self propelled push mower. It literally is super simple. The cleaning of the machine itself is just as simple. Place it in the dock and press a button. It’s not loud at all and good you can hear it cleaning the device so you know it’s ACTUALLY clean. This thing is legitimately up there for the best things I have purchased recently and glad I took a chance on it. Great cleaning and simple use? Couldn’t ask for a better combo. 10 stars if possible ... show more

  • Self clean is loud, long and obnoxious
Still figuring this out but feels clunky so far. The auto pilot pulls too forcefully, ands the self clean feels like it’s broken. I just stopped it after ten or fifteen minutes of extremely loud annoying running. Was hoping to use it for quick cleanups. 15+ minutes self clean for a 90 second pickup is silly. ... show more

  • Electro is our new favorite !!
Roomba Electro is amazing! When we were looking for a something that could clean both our tile & LVP flooring and we were surprised to find iRobot actually made something that would fit our needs, (we already own a Roomba). The Electro is easy to use and it doesn't require any cleaning products (we are trying to avoid chemicals on our LVP), the Electro just uses regular tap water and electrolyzies the water, making it not only safe for kids/pets, but safe for all our flooring. It vacuums and mops at the same time, saving us time and it performs both jobs extremely well. The suction power is very strong and had no issues picking up the various crumbs, hair, and fur, while the mop left the floor nice and clean (noticeably cleaner when I used other mopping tools). The dock charges the Electro, washes, drys, and sanitizes the mop roller all in one spot. The design of the Electro makes it easy to get it under furniture pretty easy and it's pretty light if you need to carry it anywhere. Very happy with the Electro and have already told a few friends about it that are installing new hard flooring in their homes. ... show more

  • What a great mop
Works great!! Not having to use cleaning fluid is a major plus. It creates it's own from chlorinated tap water. I have 2 great Pyrenees that I call my mud puppies meaning I have to clean my floors alot. This mop has been a godsend.

  • Many Flaws (Read On)...There Are Much Better Options Out There
To qualify this review, I would first like to note that I absolutely love the powered mop/vac form factor; we have used one (different model) in our home daily for years. This iRobot example leaves much to be desired. My first impression was that this is an attractive, quiet, nicely put together floor cleaner. I was surprised however that there weren't really any instructions included only a link to an online manual which was less than thorough. I appreciate the simplicity of using tap water (distilled will not work) to create a cleaning solution through electrolysis. The solution however, is not super effective at cleaning and I cannot say for certain whether or not it actually disinfects. I found that the dirty water never really gets very murky. When I followed up with my old Tineco floor cleaner in the same area AFTER being "cleaned" by this iRobot, the result was a much dirtier tank of water in the Tineco. Because of the electrolysis occurring in the iRobot, you cannot use any cleaning solution even if you wanted to. Next up, the roller speed is too slow; it requires you to move the floor cleaner very slowly to be effective. This is acceptable for a thorough, once-a-week cleaning, but for a quick pickups it does not work. I found myself using this mostly on turbo mode for the most effective cleaning. The battery life is not great (30m runtime), and because of how slow you must move, we cannot complete a full clean (900sq ft) on a single charge. Despite a full charge, empty dirty water tank, and full clean water tank, this thing will randomly turn off and flash a red light; very frustrating. Furthermore, the instruction manual made no mention of this fault or how to resolve it. The next thing to mention is that this floor cleaner leaves puddles of water anytime it is parked; bad news for wood floors (our Tineco does not do this). We attempted to mitigate this by pulling it back over the puddle slowly once the power button is switched off as it will run suction for a few seconds without spraying the roller, but it still left a puddle just the same. The clean water tank is easy to remove/install and refill. I wish there was a button-activated latch on the dirty water tank as it requires a fair amount of force "snap" in and out. The self cleaning cycle works well enough, but it is noisy and lengthy (13min). Ideally you need to complete the self-clean before removing, rinsing, and drying the dirty water tank, so some waiting around is required. The charging base has a function that blows heated air onto the roller to dry it, but removal of the roller is required for complete drying. There are some notable features to mention: The roller brush extends nearly all the way to the edge (1/4" shy) so you can clean right up against baseboards. There is also a small roller wheel on the backside of the handle allowing you lay it completely flat and slide the whole floor cleaner to get under tables/furniture. Overall, this floor cleaner is not great. It feels like the product development was very rushed. For the price, it is an abysmal value. There are much better options available. ... show more

  • Really Nice All-in-One Hard Floor Cleaner
A Really Nice All-in-One Hard Floor Cleaner I’ve been pretty impressed with this floor cleaner so far. The biggest selling point for me is being able to vacuum and mop at the same time instead of having to vacuum the floor and then go back over it with a separate mop. It does a good job picking up everyday dirt, crumbs, hair, and other debris while cleaning the floor at the same time. I also really like that it uses tap water rather than requiring a separate cleaning solution. The electrolyzed water system is convenient, especially if you have kids or pets and would rather minimize the chemicals being used on your floors. I can’t personally verify the sanitizing claims, but I do like the way the floors look and feel after using it. The versatility is probably my favorite feature. It handles vacuuming and mopping in one pass, gets close to the edges, and can lay down far enough to reach underneath furniture. It’s lightweight and fairly easy to maneuver, while still having good stability and control as you move it around. The self-propelled roller makes it surprisingly effortless to push. The speed is good for routine cleaning, although I wouldn’t expect it to replace a more aggressive deep-cleaning approach. Stubborn or dried-on messes may require slowing down or making multiple passes. Battery life and tank capacity also seem better suited to normal maintenance cleaning than tackling a huge, heavily soiled area. The self-cleaning dock is another nice feature. It handles cleaning the roller and has a heated drying function, although the cleaning cycle takes a while and isn't exactly quiet. You still need to empty and rinse the dirty-water tank afterward, so there is some maintenance involved. As far as durability, I haven’t had it long enough to make a definitive judgment. It feels well-built so far, but long-term durability is something that will have to be proven with continued use. Overall, I think the value is pretty good for what you get. Being able to vacuum and mop at the same time saves time and effort, and not having to continually buy cleaning solution is another nice benefit. It has a few quirks, but the combination of versatility, stability, convenience, and cleaning performance makes it a very useful tool for regular hard-floor maintenance. ... show more

  • Maybe the first powered vacuum/mop combo that actually does what it says. Great!
We live in a house where the majority of the main floor is hard surfaces (combination between vinyl, laminate, and hardwood). All told it's probably about 1400-1500 sq/ft of hard surfaces. With all of these surfaces it means that I'm always on the lookout for a better way to vacuum, mop, etc. We currently have a Roomba J7+ that does a great job of keeping up the daily dirt pickup, plus a Dyson V8 for more intensive vacuuming, and then a Bona spray microfiber mop to actually clean the floors, remove stains, etc. Honestly, it turns into quite the ordeal. I was surprised, excited, and a little aprehensive, when I saw this "5 in 1" hard floor cleaner. Surprised that here was an iRobot product that wasn't a Roomba or other kind of robotic floor cleaner, excited to maybe find an all in one tool that will vaccum and mop at the same time without turning everything into wet dirt, and aprehensive because I have tried probably a dozen different products over the years that promise the world. I'm happy to report that this Roomba Vacuum/Mop actually delivers on what it says it does. When using it directly on loose dirt and other dry messes it picks everything up without just pushing it around. It then mops the same spot without turning it into "mud" because it already did such a great job vacuuming it up. With some stains, like with any mop, you might have to run over it a couple of times, but the spinning roller has done a great job so far getting stains and sticky messes off the floor in a couple passes. The mop is pretty light weight, very easy to push around, and is self propelled (forward) due to the spinning mop/roller. I was surprised at how little water it uses, because when I first saw the size of the clean tank, I thought that I'd have to run to the kitchen faucet 3-4 times just to get the whole floor done. This isn't the case at all, plus it likely gives you another great benefit in that your floor isn't left with a watery mess after mopping. It leaves a very thin layer that dries in just a couple minutes and best of all it doesn't leave streaks. When I first used it I was sure that it would, but it doesn't at all which is a huge win in my book. So far, on a full charge, the battery has lasted the entirety of the floor with time to spare. When in eco mode people can watch TV in the same room without having to turn it up, but when you put it in the stronger suction mode it makes a little more noise, but not as loud as a normal Roomba. So, for the price, I actually think it is a pretty good value. It saves me going over my floors twice (once with the Dyson and then back with the mop) to only find that I didn't quite get all the dirt off the floor with the vacuum so now I'm pushing around a wet pile of dirt residue. I can't attest to the 'sanitizing' aspect of the product (kinda hard to test that as a normal consumer). Overall, its a great tool for hard surface cleaning. I'll update my review if anything changes. ... show more
