I’m really impressed by how surprisingly sturdy and well-designed this piece is for home use. While it’s definitely lighter than commercial gym equipment, that’s actually a big plus—it’s easy to move around and store when not needed, and it folds down compactly too. The padding is on the lighter side but still thick enough and comfortable for my workouts. It also offers plenty of adjustable angles, allowing me to target different muscle groups and find a position that feels right. I’ve been wanting a roman chair for a long time now, since it’s excellent for strengthening the core and has been really helpful in supporting my spinal health.

This Roman Chair is fully adjustable. The main stack can be adjusted up and down to accommodate your leg length. The hip pads can be spaced wider or closer together to accommodate male physiology. But I purchased this chair because the support stack is adjustable, which allows the chair to be raised and lowered to steepen or flatten the angle of the chair. This adjustment enables exercises for abs (e.g., sit ups) and adds progressive difficulty for the standard exercises (e.g., hyper extension, side dips). This chair feels rickety until you put some weight on it. Then, it feels sturdy. At low angles, the back end of the chair needs to be weighted down. But I'm a long lever at 6'4", so it may not be necessary for someone shorter. The arms on the roman chair are helpful, but they are narrow and interfere with cross-armed movements. I have owned two other roman chairs in the past. The classic chair (like a bare bones GHD) and the angled one like this purchase. The classic chair took up a lot of space. The angled one was foldable, but only had one angle. I couldn't adjust its height. I couldn't get a low enough angle when hyper-extending to target my hamstrings. This roman chair is the best of both types of roman chair. I can really hit my hamstrings now. Well worth $80. Lastly, be aware this chair comes in multiple colors, but each color is listed on Amazon as a separate product. I ordered the red version of this chair because the order page didn't have a drop down menu offering other colors (I wanted all black). I discovered the other colors when Amazon advertised them as other products I might be interested in based on my purchase. That's really annoying. Now, I have this silly red version. That said, it is an excellent product.

This chair arrived on time. At first, it was a bit challenging to assemble, but with my husband’s help, it came together pretty quickly. This Roman chair is exactly what my home gym was missing. I especially love using it for lower back workouts. That said, it does require some experience, and the incline might feel a bit challenging for beginners. Overall, it feels strong and durable, with padding that is both firm and comfortable. I also really like that it can be adjusted to different levels.

It may support 300 pounds, but a "big" person wouldn't benefit from this. It's very narrow at the feet and at the handles. I need to extend my arms out because if I try to cross them, my shoulders hit the handles. This is more for "smaller, thinner" people. I do like that the hip pads can be widened, a little. The instructions could be better. Finally, it would be very nice if the rear pads (the red ones) could be adjusted. They fold up for storage, but aren't very stable if they aren't put all the way down.

Surprisingly sturdy and well thought out design for a home workout. This is definitely lighter weight than a commercial gym piece, which is nice because you can move it and store it away. It folds down too. The pads are light but thick and good enough for me. It has plenty of adjustable angles for training different muscles and comfort. I've been wanting a roman chair for a while because its really great to work your core and helpful with my spinal issues. I am 135 and 5'11" and I'm satisfied with it! Definitely a decent value.
