The Robelle Premier Winter Pool Cover is an extra heavy-duty solid winter pool cover. Solid pool covers do not allow water to pass through their material. The Robelle Premier Winter Pool Cover features an extra heavy-duty 12 x 12 scrim. The extra heavy-duty polyethylene material used for this cover weighs 3.26 oz./yd2. Both the scrim count and material weight are the best indicators of the strength and durability for your pool cover. This is an extra heavy- duty pool cover designed to protect your pool from the winter elements. The Robelle Premier Winter Pool Cover features a slate blue topside and a black underside. This pool cover includes a perimeter binding. Please order by your pool size, as the overlap goes beyond the pool size listed. This cover includes a four-foot overlap. If you have a very large top rail, please consider a larger pool size. This cover should be able to comfortably float on the pool water without excessive stress. This cover is not meant to be used as a debris cover during the swimming season. This winter pool cover is intended to be used during the off-season. This cover is meant for traditional above ground pools with a traditional top rail. Includes a winch and cable that should be used to secure your pool cover through the grommets around the perimeter of the pool cover. For extra securing, cover clips and cover wrap (both sold separately) are suggested for pool closing. No other method of installation is recommended. Includes an eighteen year warranty.

It's made very, very good we had a bad wind stom. Winds at 50 to 60 miles per hour. What I didn't like is that little wench that came with it junk. The wench and cable snapped and there went the cover. I went to Habor Freight and bought a hand wench got rope in case something happened I could cut it. Put cover back on tightened it down. Had bad winds again and cover never came. This is the first winter with this cover and I am very happy with it. My pool is tall so when I had to get the water off it I just thew the pump over and never got any hole from moving it around like. When this one is old I will be getting another one. ... show more

An ok, cover, lasted through the first season. Some of the grommets started tearing out and there is obvious strain with any force on them. Seems like they should have had some extra reinforcing material. On the plus side, there was no obvious UV damage, unlike a tarp which was nearby so they got that right. The tiedown system is ok, but in a strong wind it started to come off. Needed to tie it to the sides of the pool at a few points. A big plus was that with the black side up it really heated the water well into fall. With the pump not running, the surface several inches was 108 degrees when the outside air temperature was in the 80s. Once mixed the pool was warm enough to be in much later in the year than last year. ... show more

Instead of a pillow we turned our tall steps over in the middle (type you fill with sand and too heavy to remove). The first time we installed it the wind blew it off the next day. So the 2nd time we used pliers to turn the winch tighter. The holes are spaced too far apart which makes it catch the wind more. Used bungies in 4 corners for extra protection. Will see how it does come spring. Instructions on the winch were just a picture but basically one cord goes up, through center, then down, and the other goes down, through center, then up. ... show more

The cover fits great, but it doesn't stay in. The slightest wind gusts and the cover blows in all directions. We have tightened it numerous times and still - wind equals no cover. Frustrating. So if you live somewhere with no winds, it's great.

So I’ve only had this one my pool for about a week, but I think it’s proven to be super secure and sturdy. I was working in my yard and heard a splash. I didn’t think anything of it since the pool was closed for the year and then I realized my goofy dog had come outside and tried to jump in! With a 50lb flailing pitbull, this cover barely budged! It came loose in one spot where my deck was installed too closely to the pool, but nothing ripped and it truly stayed in place. I am so impressed. Needed a new pool cover this year and tried this cover. The cover was a nice weight, it didn't feel as heavy as what we had previously purchased from Leslie's but it wasn't too bad. Install went fairly well with the exception of having two grommets break when we were installing the cover. With only two grommets down we installed the cover and secured it with the provided cable. We just placed this over our pool cover and it was fairly easy to place over top. However, we went to loop the securement cord around the pool, the line was too short to completely wrap around our pool so we had to go and purchase an additional cord that was longer from a local store.

This was easy to unbox, setup and get on our pool. Instructions were clear. The overhang length is perfect and covers the pool nicely. I did notice 3-4 of the grommet holes were over the stitching and close/over the edge. Due to needing to cover the pool ASAP we did continue the process versus reaching out to the company about it.
