It helps me know exactly when it’s time to replace my garden water filter!! This flow water meter works great. Bought it for 2023 season and took it inside at the end of the season. Still works great (it takes a CR2032 battery to operate). After a test, I can say that it measures water correctly. Installs extremely easy. No leaks and I can see the display good, even in the bright sun. It’s especially convenient for me to see my water usage, because we use a water filter. Have several of these to monitor water usage on my drip irrigation and soaker hose systems. Seem to work well and have good features to monitor both flow rate and water usage. There are two water usages - one for the last cycle and another that totals since the last reset. The 'last cycle' usage automatically resets when the water comes back on again after a few minutes (or more) of no flow. I like the automatic reset function, although it's not clear in the manual that it does this. Had good support from the vendor figuring this out. Update: Support has been great and sent a replacement, so adding back a star for that - replacements are still an inconvenience, but at least it does get corrected if you get a lemon. Will check in again if this replacement lasts better or not; should at least provide some idea on how durable they with a second point of data. Update 2: Replacement is clearly holding up much better and it continues to work fine at about 5,000 gallons run through the replacement so far. I've added one more star back for that. Original: I really loved this at first for watering our trees - it's hard to get a gauge on how much water you've given via a root watering spike. Not knowing what our flow rate generally was (and knowing it changed often since our water pressure is weak) this was a lifesaver. Unfortunately about 3 weeks in the bottom half of the display stopped working. Which meant the numbers were unreadable, rendering it useless. It it were a cheaper item I might have shrugged it off and replaced, since you get what you pay for generally speaking. But as it currently stands I would have expected a much longer lifespan for this product. I give it 2 stars because it did at least last long enough for me to figure out how long I need to water and what our flow rate ranges between. You will never question how much water has been loaded into your RV fresh water tank or rely on the dependability or accuracy of your onboard gauges when you use this flow meter. I measure quantity of backflow water into my RV dump tanks to clean them. I also measured daily quantity of water used through my RV water softener to guess when it needs regeneration. I had purchased a cheaper flow meter last year and it started to leak after a few days due to constant water pressure. No problem with this one thus far. ... show more
