    • Solid little hose

I bought this to connect to a Y connector to connect a sprinkler and another hose together. The problem is that connecting the sprinkler to the Y connector is pretty much impossible or at least stupid. Therefore, this 3-foot hose. It connects to the Y connector and then to the sprinkler. There are so many uses for this little hose. I bought one for the farm, and I bought a couple more for my home. I was hesitant at first to buy a 3-foot hose for $10 when I could get a 50-foot hose for just $27. I couldn't figure why they would charge that much. 50 divided by 3 equals 16.7. That means that I should be able to get at least 16 3-foot hoses for the same $27. But since I paid $10 for this 3-foot hose, then if I bought 16 of them, it would cost (according to this scenario) $160. If the cost/price was a true ratio of 50 feet to 3 feet and using the prices related to the $27 50-foot hose, the price for a 3-foot hose should be 27/16 = $1.69. That was my original reasoning for not wanting to pay $10 for this 3-foot hose. And, I still don't know why they charge so much for a 3-foot hose. Maybe it is simple economics like supply and demand. Maybe the main cost is in the end pieces and not the length of the hose. That would be my best guess. The actual hose is much cheaper than the end pieces to manufacture. And that is why we pay $10 for a 3-foot hose and only $27 for a 50-foot hose. Update: 5-23-2025 I bought two more of these because they are useful for what I described previously. Basically, they only apply when you need to connect something from a Y connector. It is totally useless to connect a sprinkler directly onto one of the nozzles of a Y connector. And, therefore, this 3-foot hose fixes that problem. These are heavy duty items, not just a lot of plastic. Great connectors on each side, solid and dependable. ... show more

The hose itself is great, but the fittings are so cheap that just dragging it across my patio once(!) caused the threading to wear off to the point that you could not screw anything on. Add a couple more months of dragging hose and the end has worn right off. Would be a perfect hose if it had solid brass at both end. But instead it was cheaper out and is going in the trash. Also, low water flow because it is narrow. ... show more

Used less than a year three days a week for ten minutes and the seal started leaking. I shouldn’t have ordered it because there were several reviews with the same issues.THIS IS NOT WORTH FIFTY DOLLARS. RIP OFF FOR SURE…I have a rubber hose as well, it’s four years old…25 dollars. It failed after less than a year. The metal broke and the tube burst close to the head. The inner tube seems like a single layer rubber with no special reinforcement. I was able to repair it with a barb splicer and pipe clamps (see photo). Looks ugly but it's holding up to the water pressure so far. You can see how the alum sheathing is necessary to keep the tubing from over-expanding. That being said, it's a decent product. It's light weight and tangle free. The included hose spray is nothing special but nonetheless useful. This product seems more durable than the expandable fabric hoses but lighter than the standard rubber hoses, both of which I own. ... show more

Strongly recommend this if you're looking for a quality, inexpensive leader hose. No kink design and build quality were better than expected. I had a cheap rubber hose attached to my winding yard hose, but the rubber cracked aftwr excessive kinks. This one does the job.
