    • Huge time and water saver in the garden
These work perfectly, sending a constant pulse of small drops of water to the base of your plants while you have the flow on. We run them over the surface and plant on either side as they drip from both edges. Can mulch or put landscaping cloth on top for weed control.

    • Water distributed evenly even when connected end to end
I laid out the hoses connected end to end and was surprised that even over the hundred feed and feeding slightly uphill water was distributed fairly evenly even to the very end. Although very light and compact, the hoses look well made. Because the hose is initially completely flat is impossible to see kinks or potential kinks until the hose is pressurized. Pressurize while putting it in final position and/or burying it. I don't know about durability yet but will come back to this review if there are problems. ... show more

    • Uneven watering
Just installed this soaker hose set in my raised bed garden and the amount of water pressure needed to get water through even one length caused the hose to split in places and water very unevenly. I would look into a more durable soaker hose if you have a large garden.

    • Work Best For Hedges And Trees
My dought restrictions limit sprinklers to a total 6 hours one day a week. Even though my trees and shrubs are natives, some need help this year. So far soaker hoses have no restriction. A 50' length creates a roughly 16' circle, so both hoses connected to a Y splitter allow for a wider saturation of a large root zone. The saturation area varies from 6"-10" either side of the hose. My only worry is if the hose gets damaged and develops a leak. Seems like the water-carrying interior hose swells within a sheath so a hose mender might not be usable. ... show more
