This certainly will heat you up fast. Even on the lowest setting I have to turn it off then on for a little bit at a time because it gets really hot. I can't imagine what the higher sttings would be like. It seems it would be hot enough to catch fire if the control goes to 10. Never tried it and don't think I will. I don't mind cycling it on/off. Another way is to add a layer like a towel between you and the heaing pad. It would be so much better if the "L" meant warm! ... show more

Good for the price, doesn’t have a timer, it’s small so it will only cover belly or shoulders. Cord is quite long so u don’t have worry about sitting too close to the outlet. Sometimes I'll set at level 3 (out of 10) and it's barely noticeable. The next time of use at level 3, it is burning hot and feels like a level 8. I also don't understand the shutoff as it varies in duration. Inconsistent but as long as it heats, I'll make use of it. It’s for my cat’s window bed and he loves it (on Low)! The timer is okay. I wish the timer could be set for longer than 2 hours at a time but I’m also glad it’s a safety feature. It’s easy to use and has a bunch of heat settings which goes up to a very hot setting. It’s lightweight but thick and durable enough for kitty’s nails to not rip through it as he jumps on/off. It’s a perfect size for a heating pad and actually fits better than the heating pad I have for me. If you’re wanting this for you and not your cat (as most normal people would), it’s a great buy especially for the cost! ... show more
