I wired a 50 amp NEMA 14-50 outlet in the garage so that I can charge my 2020 Chevy Bolt EV at home every day. I have two options to turn the charger on: 1) swiping in the app. 2) Pressing one of the 3 cards that were provided against the display. The charger connects to the internet via wifi, or it can connect directly to your phone thru bluetooth. I have the charger connected both ways just in case my wifi is down. The app allows you to change the charging rate (amps 1 - 48), charging duration, the specific time/date of charging (delayed charging), or you can specify the amount of Kwh that are provided (quantitative charging). The app also maintains a record for each charging session. My normal routine is to plug the Bolt into the charger after parking in the garage at the end of each day. Before I go to sleep, I use the app to activate charging so that the batteries have had some time to cool down. I should also mention that the 2020 Bolt has a charging limit of approximately 7.5 Kwh which requires only 32 amps; however, I'm confident this charger will output the full 48 amps that it is rated. The price for EV chargers is becoming more competitive. At the time of this review, and based on many hours of research, I believe this charger is a better VALUE than ChargePoint, Autel, etc. because it has the core features that are needed coupled with the maximum level 2 charging rate of 48 amps. Thus, I'm giving this charger 5 stars and a solid recommendation. If I have any problems in the next 5 years, I will update this review accordingly.

This glass that covers all the delicate screan fell off when taking out of box so not a good start, as far as charging it worked fine.

I’ve been using this charger for over three months now, and it’s been working great. But there’s one thing that’s been bugging me - why do I have to use a card to charge it? It’s like a credit card, and I have to tap it on the charger. I get that it’s for security reasons if the charger is in public, but my charger is in my locked garage. So, why can’t I just plug it in and start charging? The charger is easy to install, and it works really well. It took less than 15 minutes to set it up, But here’s the catch - there’s no way to contact the manufacturer. Nothing in the materials gives you any way to reach out if you have a problem, warranty issue, or if you just want to ask a question. I have no idea who to contact. The face plate fell off the second day. It was too big, so I had to cut it down and glue it back on with a better glue. It’s fixed. So, my question is, how can I stop using this annoying card? I’d really appreciate any tips or suggestions you might have. Thanks a bunch!

The front face of the unit came off after a couple months of use exposing electronic components inside. The 2 buttons for Amps and delay not working…probably due to the front face fell off. Returned to Amazon.

If you are reading my review you are shopping for an EV charger, for $259 on sale I thought I’d take a chance. Really solid, heavy and robust. Connection to the app took 30 seconds, the app itself is a little cumbersome. Will update long term but out of the box it’s good, truck is charging as I type. Also looks really nice in the garage. EDIT: The face of the charger fell off within a few days, the timed charge function does not work without toggling the time back and forth on the app and the charger comes with no manual to troubleshoot the issue. The app is garbage, functions of the charger are buried in the app, I could go on and on about the app. Contacted Amazon support and they couldn't help, they put me in touch with the seller who is in China (despite the seller being listed in the US) and they have been NO help at all. Now I do not care one way or another where they are located but to some people that will matter, they do misrepresent their location. I have 5 days to send this back and will be doing just that. You get what you pay for in this case.

I ordered this charger to install in our vacation home and I can compare it to the wall charger from Tesla honestly this is a great charger it works great and it’s fast. I like the fact that you could use it with all kinds of EV cars since it’s a j1772 charger. Also, no need for a hard-wired, this charger comes with a 14-50 Plug. Just make sure you have 240V and connect it to the electrical outlet and start charging your EV car. Great charger
