With my Genesis GV 60, charging is repeatedly stopped after very short periods of time. To charge from 48% to 80%, I had to restart the charger 29 times. Tech support offered no solution.

UPDATE: I had the chance to test this charger today with my Tesla Model 3. It works great and the car charges fine. Moreover, it charges at a maximum rate of 48A which is great. Unfortunately my dryer breaker supports up to 30A so I had to downgrade the Model 3 charge speed, otherwise the breaker switch would drop. Great charger, delivers well. ======================================================================== I got this Level 2 charger to use with my Tesla Model 3. It's not compatible out of the box but it can be easily converted to work with Tesla cars. First of all, I use my dryer outlet as a Level 2 charging power source for my Model 3. That means that I needed first to buy a 14-30 to 14-50 power outlet converter (thick yellow cable in my pictures) to be able to plug in this charger. The second thing that was needed was a J1772 adapter to connect the charging cable to the car. You can get both these accessories for less than $100, so it's not too bad. The product itself looks pretty cool. Big charging block, long 25ft cable that can reach all corners of your garage, wall mount for the charging handle. Very cool. I haven't actually tried the charger with my car yet, I need to do some cabling work first, but I will update this review as soon as I do. For now, based on what I see, 5 stars. ... show more

Unfortunately, Iโ€™ve not had success with this charger and my Kia EV6. Charges are often interrupted every 15 or 20 minutes. Dealership claims itโ€™s because this charger is not high enough quality. Rather disgusted with the dealership as when I purchased the vehicle they suggested I find a highly rated charger on Amazon, which is what I did. Now that these charging problems have surfaced, theyโ€™re telling me that I failed to get an adequate charger and recommend a particular one that costs $800. ... show more

Excellent Level 2 charging station operating on 220v. My favorite feature is the 25-foot charging cable, which keeps me from having to back in 18 inches from the house just to connect the cable. When installing, you'll need to install a matching 220v plug, preferably mounted in its own waterproof enclosure box next to where you intend to install the charger. This allows you to bring the cord up through the bottom of the box, providing excellent protection from the elements and some limited antitheft security for the plug itself. This step isn't necessary if installing it in a garage for obvious reasons. This charger comes with the J1772 plug. I would suggest obtaining the J1772/Tesla NEMA adapter for use with multiple vehicles (if one is a Tesla,) or if considering purchasing an EV brand that is moving over to the Tesla standard for charging. Charger did a credible job of charging the test vehicle in an expected amount of time, much faster than the 110/120 charger I was using. The quality of the charging unit is good, and I expect it to last quite a while. I will leave it attached to my home to add a boost in my asking price, not every home has a pre-installed pro-grade charger on site. ... show more

This is a nice looking Level 2 charger that is UL certified, NEMA 14-50 plug and a J1772 plug. As seen in the pictures, it comes with a mounting bracket and a plug holder. I tested this by plugging it in my 14-50 outlet that has a 60amp fuse. I charged both a 2022 KIA EV6 and a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe. Both charged without any issues. As you can see from the pictures, the EV6 Actually reached 11.2Kw, which is close to the 11.5KW max power of the charger. I was testing this at my home in NM at 5100ft elevation. My plan was to bring it to our condo up in the mountains at 8200 ft (~2500m) but looking through the product parameters for this charger is says work altitude is <2000m (6562ft). I'm not sure what that means or what would happen if I operated it at 8200ft. I will have to research that bit more. Also, the manual says that this is IP54 rated where the ad on Amazon says it is IP65 rated, so I'm not sure which is true. The charger seems to work well, but it has not smart features such as bluetooth or wifi connectivity and it doesn't have a way to track power usage. Overall this is a good charger, but for the price I would expect some smart features, nor does it have a way to stop other people to use to use to for charging if you install it outside. I think that there are other chargers on the market at this price point with better features. ... show more
