Well, this was darned expensive. And the base is separate, which initially made no sense to me. But...then I figured it out. The umbrella rocks. VERY heavy, but with 2 people and strong backs, very easy to assemble. Functionality is awesome, it tilts, it rotates around. Modest breeze, not even a shimmy in the whole assembly. Quality seems top notch. You pick your own base assembly, we did the standard plastic base which when filled with water, seems more than heavy enough to compensate for the lean and weight of the umbrella. But you can also dig a really big whole, dump in 700# of concrete, and then never worry about this sucker again. I subtracted a half star for value, this whole set up is about $1000, which by far is the most I've ever spent on an umbrella. But if this can hold up--totally worth it. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up.

Originally This was to be delivered on Friday the 23rd. After sitting in the warehouse and not being shipped for a few days It was scheduled for after the memorial day weekend. Purple leaf contacted me and offered me a 10% discount and kept following up and somehow the umbrella was actually delivered Saturday afternoon so we at least got to use it for half of the memorial day weekend installing it on Sunday. Their customer service was very prompt and helpful. We love the umbrella as it appears well built, is very sturdy, easy to install and works great. It also swivels very easily. I would supply a picture but it is down today as we are expecting some wind and rain.

Once the issues with the base were resolved, I finally undertakes the umbrella. The 360 degree rotation works from a handle crank on the umbrella, not a lever you step on in the base. The many tilt options help provide great shade in my pool! Seems sturdy, even in a bit of wind. It wasn't clear how to mount the base cover and it wasn't clear which way the umbrella fit in the base. But it seems to work. :-)

Have both a 12 and 13 ft mounted on deck with the steel plate base. Wonderful setup. Adjustability is awesome for various sun angles and deck activities. Haven't seen much for winds yet but seems sturdy so far.

The is our 2nd 10 foot umbrella we bought from Purple Leaf. We bought our first last month and we just loved it. No issues. Came sooner than expected and not a problem with set-up. We decided to buy another one and boy what a difference in delivery and product. Based on the way the box looked when it arrived the box looked like someone opened it looking for something? Well I took some pictures before opening, just in case. When hubby opened the box and took every thing out he discovered right away that the beige bag was not included. Well, that explained why the box looked like it had been opened and then used corrugated box material to replace the portion of the box that was opened. Not sure if my theory is correct or not. I emailed purple leaf this morning after our discovery and tried to explain our dilemma. We are currently waiting for their reply. Fingers crossed for a quick reply. UPDATE 3/13/23 Just sent 2nd email requesting a call back and sent 2 pictures of the delivered damaged box. Fingers crossed 🤞🏻 UPDATE 3/24/23 We finally have a 2nd working Umbrella! It was a long process to get to where we wanted to be. I was told that the shipping company they used damaged the box not Purple Leaf.

Previously bought two Purple Leaf umbrellas (13' and 10' rounds) and loved them. Favorite thing about them is how the colors didn't fade the first year in the sun like the cheaper umbrellas we bought previously. Slight mix-up when we received the third one purchased and customer service was incredibly quick and responsive to help us get the correct one in time for a backyard party. Yes, they are heavy. Yes, they are more expensive than others. From my experience, it's justified and I'd happily recommend Purple Leaf to others.

This is a high quality really nice looking umbrella! Very durable and solid construction. The base is kind of big but that is necessary to keep the umbrella sturdy. We are really looking forward to the summer days on our deck now.
