This umbrella is perfect for our apartment patio (9’ wide x 6’ deep). The crank works well and overall it feels sturdy. The only problem with this umbrella thus far is the lack of ties to keep it closed. Despite the lack of ties we are thinking of getting a second one to cover the rest of the patio.

This is a great half umbrella. At first I thought it was a little shaky and it leaned to one side but then I realized it needed the bottom screw to be facing out and I could lean the umbrella closed to the building. I am very happy with is purchase. I bought tow foe each side of my glass doors as I get morning sun in the AM and it heats the entire house which is not good in this heat wave that we have had in Delaware. I did also purchase half umbrella bases which seem heavy and secure. Of course I will fold them up if a storm is coming.

I was happy to get these as it helped with our pergola roofline, being able to open them without obstruction. However after having these, I noticed one canopy has become loose… it’s blowing with the slightest breeze, which caused it to become less stable. I paid the highest price point and wanted to order a third but I’m not sure now as it’s problematic. If there’s a quick fix to make the canopy taut and less vulnerable to wind that would be greatly helpful … for now, I won’t be purchasing a third.
