Item quality is very poor we bought same brand many time but this quality is very poor..Handle screws are very loose very time have to tight or fix..the plastic quality of handles are very bad. Cook very slow not upto the mark when compare to my old Prestige Pressure cookers...Sorry to say didn't expect this kind of quality from Prestige...Waste of money... ... show more

Cooker arrived within two days in good condition. I used it following the directions and was disappointed in the units performance. I returned it today with the following comment, "As pressure builds the GRS (Gasket Release System) begins to release steam thus never allowing the cooker to obtain full pressure for cooking." Apparently Prestige decided in an effort to save money to use the sealing gasket in a dual purpose role. One, to serve as a gasket and two, to serve as a safety relief valve, with the result that neither functions properly. ... show more

I have been using this particular product from past 18days. It’s been an amazing experience to cook all kinds of dishes in this pressure cooker. We have added advantages of using stainless steel over aluminum i.e, durability and healthy food. This cooker can be used for multi purposes(like cooking rice, dhal, veggies at once using separators/compartment containers or cook idlis given that we have idli plates) because of various sizes. Always loving to cook food in this great kitchenware. Prestige is one of the best and old brands. They have lot of good products out there. I am rating this at a 4 star because I feel/see that the gasket ring sent was a used one. And it is sticky when used. ... show more

I have owned many pressure cookers. This is by far the WORST. i had the same one in a 2 quart straight from the mother land India- it did winders as the family grew needed a new one. This was used as directed and wherein i even made videos. The water was added in appropriate amounts. The water leaks out creating a huge mess every time. I reached out to Amazons customer service they were great but referred to merchant. The merchant after showing videos- wanted to me to drive 12 hours away! They were useless. Typical prestige problem - Handles become loose within a week and they would never stay firm after that. The product itself is very good but the handles on lid and base become loose in weeks time. Post that point you will be tightening it every third day for the rest of product's life.

Ive seen a few pressure pots in action. So when I bought this I was a little disappointed. It seemed like it took longer to cook bc the pressure didn't seem to remain constant. A dish that would've taken 45min took well over an hour. Also not to mention the whistle it makes as pressure builds up scared the bah-jeezus outta me every single time. ... show more
