The media could not be loaded. Bought JEEKVISEN Level 1 EV Charger on Black Friday. So far, so good. I have tried with 120v and 220v outlets and it’s working perfectly fine. The only concern, I have with the charging cable is thinner from power outlet to the adapter and entire cable (from power outlet to car charging port) gets slightly hot. Right now, It’s pretty nice in Texas but I don’t know how does it work in Texas summer heat.

This charger fits a Tesla shaped plug beautifully and works well on my daughter's model 3 Tesla charging at level two which is very fast for an overnight charger and plenty fast for a destination charger where the car might be parked for even just three or four hours, quite a top up can be achieved. Very easy to read display and works just as advertised. my daughter is very happy with it.

I've gotten several of these units to test them out, so far they all stand up to the outdoor elements, and charges with no issues. I will report back if anything changes but so far so good. Checking the retail market on the pricing Amazon has the best pricing by far on these units. If anything changes i will let you know.

The JEEKVISEN 16 Amp J1772 Level 1-2 Charger is only an ok charger because of how ridiculously small it is! The handle is larger in length than the housing and it feels just as heavy almost. Two of the handles side by side would almost make up the size of the housing! The material finishes on the housing are ok. It does have silicone feet on it to hold it in place unlike many competitors, though they aren’t that useful since this charger is so light! The cable should be thicker than the inlet cord thickness of 0.386 inches in diameter! It should also be longer, so the housing isn’t dangling its weight on an outlet! The outlet cord thickness is very good at 0.551 inches in diameter it comes with for 16 amps to accommodate for the heat. The inlet cord does get quite hot while charging at 16 amps. I would definitely prefer a longer cord length of over 20 feet! The charger is really small and the electronics charging housing is lighter than most competitors! It weighed only 4.63 pounds even with the extra attachment cord! The heaviest thing was the handle followed by the cabling! The handle quality is excellent! It feels great in the hand and has a good gripping surface with a nice actuating button. The materials are top tier, and the handle doesn’t get too hot! It would have been nice if this device included a digital readout that tells you information from this unit such as voltage, temperature and time on charge to verify how long it was charging for. Sure, the vehicle could tell you some of this information, but the temperature is an essential piece of data which it can’t tell you and some vehicles don’t tell you the time it took to complete the charge. This device is plug and play. I was using this to charge up my 2024 Kia Niro EV and it was sustaining 16 amps. I liked that this charger could be used on a standard wall outlet and there was also the ability to go to the higher amperage of 16 amps with the supplied connector. I used an adapter to come off a 50-amp breaker with an extension cord to the device. It was able to sustain 16 amps though it got ridiculously hot! I like that the back of the unit includes a data table. It states that the operating temperature is up to 122 degrees Fahrenheit. This is ample for this level of charger, but the materials included don’t provide this level of confidence when compared to competitors. The carrying case is made out of nylon with some ridiculously crinkly padding material inside of it that you will hear any time the bag shifts! The handle should extend further out from the bag!
