I didn’t expect much because the price was so cheap but somehow a twig went thru the bottom of my pool and it was losing water so I figured what could it hurt to try this . First of all it is super easy to use and I mean easy . Put the glue on the patch then the patch on the hole …can’t get much easier .. second AND most importantly you dont have to drain the water out of the pool ! It works under water .     • Hard underwater.
I gave it 4 stars although it worked it was hard to do. I had to put 2 patches on because the first one didn’t stick around the edges. It was hard to get unfolded in the water once you folded it in half and I also had to put it on while underwater. If it was some place you could reach standing up it would’ve been much easier. The second patch has wrinkles in it too but I was able to cover the hole and not have to drain the pool. I gave it 5 stars because it does work. ... show more

    • strong stuff
This pool patch kit works quite well. I just used it to patch tears on the pool where the plunger ripped the hole, and also replaced another old patch. Both are completely sealed. the only thing i didn't like is that it is really runny and smelly, and it dries really quickly so i couldn't wait the whole 2 minutes for it to set up. I have a couple other old patches to replace so hopefully they will last. It's giving me more years out of my pool so I hope to get a few more. ... show more

We had a hole in the pool and fixed it with this while it still had water in it. I had doubts but we dove under and slapped it on.... no problems.

I bought this based on another review by another person who had the same type of vinyl Intex pool. We tried to put the patch on the inside of the pool, but the adhesive immediately dried. We tried on the outside of the pool while someone plugged the hole long enough to keep it on there without water coming through for the amount of time the instructions told us to. Neither one worked. The hole was very small, no bigger than the tip of a pen, but we could not get it to stick. It may have been a defective one. For the price I was not too bummed that it didn't work, so if you can get it to work for you, buy it. ... show more

    • Makes a mess not a seal.
This was used on "Costco style Pools" have ea very small puncture in the side of pool. 6" under water line. Have used this product twice with terrible results. First try was to seal the outside only. Horrific failure. It sealed somewhat...but water also came inside the patch. Removed that patch weeks later to try again. The adhesive is some sticky stuff plan on an hour to clean any of the glueoff if you fail.... 2nd attempt was to seal the inside and outside together. Under water side first another failure.. could not get patch to seal. The slightest water pressure seeps under patch. Tried outside patch again. No surprise a Failure again.... patches retain memory from roll making it very difficult to put on. Glue will not hold back any water pressure. 6" under would not seal. ... show more

    • It works underwater!
This was a life saver! We recently purchased an above ground pool. We set it up and had water delivered to realize there was a rip on the bottom liner at the seam! I read the reviews and was hesitant. I’m glad I purchased, worked like a charm!! Just be sure to use a lot of the adhesive and be quick, it drys fast.     • Tricky to use correctly, but when you do, it works GREAT!
I messed up the first couple of tries because you have to be careful when you are doing it underwater to only let the water touch it for a second or it slides off and away into the pool. However, if you are fast enough, it attaches really strongly, and the hold is still lasting months later. It saved me from buying a new pool liner. Much easier to use when the surface is dry, so keep that in mind. Next season, I am going to check all over for any holes and fill them with this patch kit before filling up. It will save me a lot of time and headache once the pool is filled. ... show more
