These boots are an an excellent choice if you need winter/snow boots for trekking around on snow and ice. I have bought 3 pairs for myself and my kids, these are the most comfortable winter boots I've ever had. For the price, you can't beat it in terms of functionality and comfort. Pros: - Exceptional Warmth: The Thinsulate insulation keeps feet toasty in cold weather. - Fully Waterproof: Seam-sealed construction and a synthetic rubber shell keep out snow, slush, and water. - Durable Build: Feels robust and well-made, designed to withstand tough winter conditions. - Good Traction: The rubber bottoms provide good grip on ice and snow. - Easy Lacing: The speed lacing system is convenient for quick on and off. Cons: - Weight: They are not the lightest boots, which is a trade-off for their robust construction and insulation. - Bulk: Their substantial design might feel a bit bulky for some users, though this contributes to their warmth and protection. These boots deliver on their promise of warmth and waterproofing. The reviews all say they come too small and to size up, but I have not found that to be the case. It is true that the padding in the boot makes it feel small at first, but after wearing it a while the padding gets compacted and it ends up being true to size. So I would recommend ordering your true size instead of sizing up. Beware: I have had one order arrive smelling like heavy mildew, it must have sat in damp storage for a year before being shipped out. So the first thing I did was I went out and I got the the Scots card and I made them waterproof and the bottom I hit pretty hard with some silicone and the inside of them I I backed them up a little bit I put on a very bottom of them I put a a new install in them I will say that they are true to size if you wear a size 12 get a size 12 they're a little tight but they loosen up pretty fast so a lot of people say that they're very tight yeah I agree it was tight but tomorrow I walked around with them the faster you know they did they loosened up pretty quick for me so true to size if you wear a size 11 for 12 and you're not going to go wrong so I am out of curiosity it was raining one day and I said well let's check these suckers out so I went and I went through some puddles and I stopped in them and kicked around like I was 12 years old and I had no problem with whoever and you know the funny thing was is that I did it while I was kicking into the puddles and it was flashing up on my jeans and all over the place nothing ever got inside a boot not the boots they completely dry I don't know if that's because I hit it with the Scotch Guard or the silicone or whatever but they they were dry they're completely dry when I got home I had no reason to put him into boot warmer or anything they were good so if you could get them at the price that I got him which was $52 I would dive all over it and get them I would say you know that they're probably worth Mac summer or maybe about I don't know 82 you know $109 I actually did see these exact pair up at a competitor and they were a hundred and seventy nine dollars and our shocked that I got them for 52 when I'm looking at I'm going home how did I get a deal and I did get a deal so jumping diving whatever you want to call it get them they're worth it you won't be disappointed and that's all I got to say about it I'm really happy with him I'm glad I made the purchase and I have no fear of this winter it's snow it's ice or anything it wants to throw at me I have no fear and I'm happy that I got these camex and you know I'm not getting paid anything for this endorsement by the way other than a fact that I got a really good pair of boots at a really really good price thank you camick I'm happy and that's about it go get them just order you'll be happy trust me

I bought these because I was looking for a burly winter boot that didn't break the bank and this pair definitely checks both boxes. They are not as water resistant as my previous pair, but far cheaper and easier to use. So here are the important pros and cons I found for the Kamik Nationplus. * The Good * - Warmth: I was very surprised at how warm these boots were for the amount of insulation in them (200 grams). There is only the bare minimum of stitching in the liner, which prevents the insulation from compressing and provides a lot of warmth. Although I'm pretty sure this will negatively impact durability, I am totally fine with dropping another ~$50 on these in four or five years. - Ease of Use: The tongue and liner are both pretty loose and makes getting into/out of the boots a breeze. None of the hard pulling and twisting I've had to do with boots in the past. - Comfort: The Kamik's are a little tighter than other winter boots, which I like in a winter boot. Many others are kind of loose so you can fit extra socks/liners in to regulate temperature. However, that is not really needed with the extra lofty insulation previously mentioned. The snug fit definitely made me feel more confident on slippery pavement. - Traction: These boots have some pretty deep lugs that give it some serious grip. I found they do really well on pavement, but not as well on straight ice. * The Bad * - Durability: Like I said before, the lack of much stitching in the liners is probably going to cause them to wear out faster than other boots. I would say it's a decent trade off because the extra loft this provides adds a lot to the comfort level. - Water Resistance: That ease of use I talked about before comes at a price. If the boots are not tied very tightly, water gets in past the waterproof tongue. I did some testing in the backyard and found the waterproof claim is generous at best when dealing with slush or water like deep puddles. Snow was fine, but you have to make sure you really cinch the laces down when expecting lots of slush. To be honest, if these were priced more like other winter boots they would be a 3 star product at best. However, I paid $50 for my pair and now they are down to less than $40. That is less than even half the price of some of its closest competitors! That is an extremely low price for a pair of boots that, while definitely not among the best out there, comes kind of close. For that amount, I would be cool with buying these every four or five years.

The boot is true to size and walks a little heel-heavy in, but the first impression is that it is good. My crampons fit nicely on them, which is very important. I look forward to testing them with snow and ice when I go to the mountains. After going to Mount Mitchell in 20F, climbing 3400 feet for 3 hours, and descending. These boots kept my feet warm, and no blisters were formed. At 4000 feet, it got icy, and the snow got a little deeper. I used some crampons in the pictures, and they worked perfectly. My feet did get a little moist, but I blamed myself for not overlapping my pants leg over my boots like I did in the pictures. My feet were never cold, so maybe it was sweat. I need to test them more. I plan on going to Mount Mitchell again in colder weather and, hopefully, snowier conditions. I also plan to climb Grandfather Mountain via Profile Trail and test these boots. I will keep this review up to date. On 1/17/24, I took these boots to Grandfather Mountain in 5F and did 10.4 miles in deep snow at some points up to my hip. It took me 8 hours. I started from the profile trailhead and went to the swinging bridge and back. These boots stayed very warm and stayed dry the entire time. The only wetness was from the moisture in my feet. There were no blisters either. I trust the boots now, and I have recommended them to my other hiker friends who do winter hikes.

I have small feet. I can't find mens boots in a size 7 anywhere, but the winters in the North East are rough, and my Vans skate shoes just weren't cutting it. I'm normally opposed to buying boots, or any kind of shoe on the internet, but clearly I was running out of options. I saw the Kamik Men's Nationplus Snow Boot, and instantly was drawn to them. The style looks awesome. I bought them in dark brown and the picture is very true to the product I received. I've been wearing them for the past few months and the boot has held up perfectly in all types of weather, snow or rain. The rubber sole has stayed intact and hasn't torn or ripped even after long uses in the snow. The leather on the side is nice, and doesn't feel cheap at all, and the laces are great- sport quality. They wont untie easily, and they're pretty long so personally I wrap the laces around my boot for extra support. The inside feels awesome. They are a very, very warm boot. Great for cold weather. The only downside is that my feet start to sweat because they're so warm, but that's my personal issue probably. The boot is soft, cushioned, has great ankle support and it's easy to slip your foot in, but the boot fits snugly. I'm short- so occasionally I'll slip in some lifts and there's definitely enough room in there for them. I really love these boots, and still- no leaks on the inside. These are great! I wanna get another pair in black. They'd be great gifts for your next Winter holiday, or someones winter birthday. Excellent!

My foot measures 11 1/2 (shoe size) so I ordered a 12. Too tight on my toes. So I ordered a 12 1/2 and a 13. When the second order came, I tried the 13 first and it was just as tight as the 12! I pulled out the liner from a 12 and a 13 and found they were identical in size. Exactly 12 1/8" inches from heel to toe on the outside. But the 13 boot was 5/8" longer than the size 12 boot. I wasn't even going to bother trying the size 12 1/2 boots, figuring if 13 is too small, it would be pointless to try 12 1/2. But as I started writing this review and wrote "all 3 pairs had liners the same size as each other" I realized I didn't actually know that. So I stopped and pulled the liner out of the 12 1/2 pair and -- Voila! -- the liner measures 12 1/2 inches and is big enough for my feet! So, if the boot does not fit, it might be the liner that is wrong and not the boot. I recommend measuring your feet with a ruler if you have big feet like mine, add 1 1/2 and order that boot size. 11-inch long feet = 12 1/2 boot. Then make sure the liner you get matches your boot size if it does not feel right. A size 12 apparently should have a 12 1/8"-long liner and a size 12 1/2 should have a 12 1/2-inch-long liner (outside measurement). I don't know if this translates well into advice on sizes that aren't in the 12 to 13 range. But the advice that they might have put the wrong size liner in your boot is good for anyone who finds the boot does not fit. If your toes are cramped by the liner, they will get cold faster, due to poor circulation. Also, I agree with other reviewers who said there is not enough insulation below the foot. So, plan on adding an insole. Put the insole between the liner and the boot, not inside the liner. I added one with good arch support, which I need. The boot has no arch support whatsoever. After all that, it's a good boot at a good price.

The fit is accurate. I got a half size larger than I usually wear, which means I can wear them with super thick mountaineering socks for extra warmth. They are also fine with my regular socks too if I lace them tighter. The soles are thin and flexible, which makes them super grippy on snow and ice. I think they give excellent traction. This is a trade off, but I think it's worth it. Cold does seep in through the soles, but the thick socks take care of that (mostly) and I would rather have better traction. I have found them to be perfectly comfortable and warm down to single digit (F) temps. I got them for snowshoeing, and to just have a good snow boot. They are outstanding- better than I thought. For the price they are a great value, truly. The boots I am replacing with these cost twice as much, but I liked them a lot less. I have not worn them in rain, but they are snowproof/slushproof and my feet stay dry. I did treat the leather with waterproofing when got them just to be safe. The taller boot means I don't need gaiters for them unless I am in powder well over a foot deep with snowshoes. I think they are great, I would buy them again. I don't expect them to last more than a few years, but the use I am getting out them is a lot and they are well worth the price.

I have just purchased my first pair of Kamik winter boots , I have had sorel boots for many years and they were a pretty good boot , and when my old faithfuls finally wore out , I replaced them with another pair of sorel boots, and it was just after I had worn them for about 3 or 4 months , along the inside of my foot where the boot bends with every step I take , the rubber started cracking , and it was just a very short time there was a hole from where the crack in the rubber devolped , and the boots were pretty much junk within about 4 and a half months , and they were so heavy a lot heavier than my first pair , I called sorel company and explained my problem , and the woman I spoke with said to me , that I could send the boots back , and tjey would see if it was something they had done , I told her that I had boughten them to keep my feet warm and dry during winter , and that I had no choice but to wear them for now , I just couldn't get in ankle high snow or they would get snow inside them , and that's really makes for a long day outside trying to stay warm, I have worm these new kamik boots just 2 days and I have found that they fit very well , and and they are very light , and comfortable having them on my feet ,and I had on just a normal pair of socks , so I find these boots to be a super good boot although its only been 2 days , I very happy and dry for the first 2 days , and I feel that they will perform the same for a long time to cum, Thanks Kamik,who needs sorel
