The Pool Mate Heavy-Duty Blue Winter Pool Cover will protect your pool from winter elements. This is a solid winter pool cover that will not allow water to pass through its material. The Pool Mate Heavy-Duty Blue Winter Pool Covers is constructed of heavy-duty polyethylene. All seams are heat sealed for better performance. The blue topside of this pool cover is coated to prevent UV damage. Please order by your pool size, as the overlap goes beyond the pool size listed. This cover includes a four-foot overlap. If you have a very large top rail, please consider a larger pool size. This cover should be able to comfortably float on the pool water without excessive stress. This cover is not meant to be used as a debris cover during the swimming season. This winter pool cover is intended to be used during the off-season. This cover is meant for traditional above ground pools with a traditional top rail. Includes a winch and cable that should be used to secure your pool cover through the grommets around the perimeter of the pool cover. For extra securing, cover clips and cover wrap (both sold separately) are suggested for pool closing. No other method of installation is recommended..

The media could not be loaded. All I can say is I am tickled to pink with this pool cover. In 20yrs Of having this pool and many pool covers, this is by far my favorite one. It's not as flimsy as ones, I've paid way more far. The gourmets are placed good. Every time I bought a 21 around pool cover, it would go over the railing maybe 8 inches for the overhang. This is a 21', and gives you 4ft more. You can see in the pictures how it hangs over the pool rail. This is going to help with wind not getting under and blowing it off. I wish I was a personal shopper for this so I could get another one just for this honest review. I attached a video trying to show you that I literally put this pool cover on by myself. By laying the pool, cover on the ground with the black side facing up. Sticking my hand underneath the cover and clamping it to the edge of the pool. Clamping halfway around too where I could pull the cover over the water with the black facing down as it should and the blue on top. Then after the cover is on drain below the skimmer. ... show more

This is the second time that we have bought this cover for our pool it stays on it fits perfectly and we never have an issue with it ripping or tearing we’re able to usually get at least 2 to 3 years out of the tarp cover. It serves great protection. We’ve never opened our pool and it had any kind of debris inside. We live on a hill and there’s lots of wind and still don’t have an issue with this cover blowing off it tightens down quite snuggly against the frame of the pool with the wire that it comes with. ... show more

Don't waste your money. The cover doesn't hold up to Chicago winters. I bought in 2023 and after this spring in 2025 I noticed several minor tears from the past winter. Well I patched the minor tears and I found a major tear after placing it on the pool for this winter. I now have to buy a new cover (Not from here) and place it back on the pool while the weather is still a bit mild. ... show more

Lasted one season. Most of the eyelets tore out and the cover had several frayed spots in the center allowing water into the pool. We live in a high wind area so that was definitely a contributor to the fast wear of the cover. It would have been nice to have gotten two seasons out of it.

I ordered the cover in a 28 round. My pool is 24 round. Im so glad I upped the size. The 24 just barely did fit and would be ripping by the following spring. With the extra the cover doesnt pull in on the sides. Its held up with the rain and what little snow we have received this winter here in Northwest GA. I have spent a lot of pool covers in the past. I bought this one 2 years ago, hoping that it would be a “good” one. I was skeptical of the price. It seemed really cheap compared to the ones I used to get at the pool supply store. This cover has been awesome! Pros: - heavy duty - lasted 3 years - held a considerable amount of water on top several times. - amazing value Cons: - color faded I went ahead and ordered another of this cover. Most of my covers last a year, maybe 2, but this guy is awesome. 3 years of hard winter use. Freezing water, rain and even my pool nearly draining because of a hole in the liner.
