Our pool closing kit for above-ground pools is up to the challenge: the pool cover pillow is made of 0.4-mm-thick PVC (27 gauge; almost 3 times thicker than the standard 0.15 mm), and the patent-pending double-sealing embossing technology means that it wont leak, tear, or deflate throughout winter. In our above-ground pool cover kits, material quality is prioritized.
  • HIGHLY RESISTANT TO COLD. If you live in a place where winters are bitter, your winterizing pool kit for above-ground pool protection needs to be able to survive low temperatures on top of keeping stuff out of the pool. Unlike a simpler winter pool cover, this pool pillow will cope with the cold as bad as 10 F (25 C). On the other end of its temperature resistance range, the pillow shows impressive stats, too: it can handle the heat of up to 180 F (80 C).
  • THE ENTIRE WINTERIZATION PROCESS THOUGHT THROUGH. We went through everything that can go wrong with your winterized pool, came up with solutions to prevent it, and implemented them in our above-ground pool winterizing kit. You inflate the pillow using a convenient and hermetic dual Boston valve thats compatible with any blower. And then you center the pillow in the pool using four reinforced grommets at its corners and a 50-foot-long rope included in the pool closing kit. All set!

I live in NH so lots of snow and ice. I’ve purchased pillows in the past and either a hole developed allowing them to leak or the fill valve leaked. Either way the pillow would be flat in the spring. I purchased this pillow in September of 2022 and started using it right away. Went to FL for the winter and was unable to come home in the spring. Finally got home in October of 2023 and it was still fully blown up. Never had a chance to open up the pool so it will have to wait till the spring of 2024. After struggling with cheaper pillows the last few years, I decided to upgrade to this and I am glad I did. It's made of very thick material and the air hole screws shut very securely. The included ropes that get tied to your pool's rails ensure that it stays right in the middle of your pool all Winter. I didn't deflate this when I opened our pool last summer, and it was still fully inflated when I went to close the pool this Fall. Item was as expected, was a large balloon and if you don't have an air pump to blow it up get one - don't think it's a pool toy, you're not going to blow it up with just your mouth. Otherwise, it seems fine, looks durable, there was plenty of rope included with it, overall seems fine. No issues.

Nice pool pillow so far. Hard to say if it will hold up since we only just got it. But it's pretty thick and seems durable compared to the last pillow we had. They give you plenty of cording to use that you have to cut to the proper length for your pool.
