Deceptive marketing. Liars. Harsh words, I realize but, the marketing preys on our ignorance and trust. I got suspicious when some ‘natural’ ingredient pictures that were shown on the packaging were NOT in the ingredient list and then asked AI to do a write up on the truth of the ingredients, here’s what came up: Do not let the clever marketing fool you—Polar Hair Care is pulling a massive "greenwashing" stunt. They advertise this product as a "non-toxic, gentle, plant-based" shampoo, but a look at the ingredient list reveals it is just cheap, harsh dye masquerading as a natural product. They claim to use fruit extracts, but the actual heavy lifting is done by standard, highly toxic hair dye chemicals: p-Phenylenediamine (PPD): Right at the top of the list, this coal-tar derivative is a potent allergen known to cause severe scalp irritation, contact dermatitis, and chemical burns. Calling a product "non-toxic" while using PPD is downright deceptive. Resorcinol & M-Aminophenol: Heavy-duty synthetic couplers used in permanent dyes. Resorcinol is a known skin irritant and flagged as a potential endocrine disruptor. Petrolatum & Propylene Glycol: Petroleum derivatives and synthetic solvents that coat the scalp, cause buildup, and strip your hair's natural moisture, leaving it feeling like brittle straw. Because this contains real permanent dye chemicals rather than temporary plant pigments, it will intensely stain your skin and bathroom tiles. This company is taking the exact same harsh ingredients found in traditional drugstore dyes, slapping a "natural shampoo" label on it, and lying to consumers. If you have a sensitive scalp, dye allergies, or want a truly clean routine, STAY FAR AWAY.

I was extremely impressed with this hair color! The application process was simple and straightforward, making it easy to use. The color developed evenly and provided excellent coverage, completely blending away my stubborn gray hairs. The end result looked natural, vibrant, and left my hair feeling soft and healthy. I also appreciated that the color lasted well without fading quickly. Polar is great. I have already re-ordered mynsevimg bfrom true . However, the gray coverage is quite stubborn and I leave it on for double the time..:it’s still slows up silvery with a hint of hot roots. Not a great look and definitely not full coverage gray concealment. I also dislike the dual chamber disposal pump. After a few uses, one champbeenstill deposits but the activator was no longer pumping, rendering it worthless and ineffective in the end. Hence my second reorder which was premature in the timeline of how long it should have lasted me.. It’s decent and convenient in a pinch in between colorings, but again

I only had it in for 5 mins and it really blasted away my grays. But it stained my hands and face. Didn't know it was that potent. 5 hours later my face started to itch and got worse. Now its red from the itching. Not sure if its a strong PPD, but be warned. My hands didn't itch and my head feels fine, guess my face is super sensitive. Same thing happened with Just for men beard dye. I have to use the GX gradual gray reducing beard wash. Have no problem with that. TLDR: use gloves. Only do 5 mins at first. Face itching and red, but it got the job done. Won't be using again though.

I received this item the day after I colored my hair. The following day they asked for a review can you give a girl a minute? I finally used it and I love it. Got a little drop on my pristine white vanity and it came right off. I did not use gloves I just rubbed it into my hair waited 10 minutes and got it the shower. So quick and easy and best of all mess free and my head didn’t burn, itch or tingle. One of the best purchases I have made in a while.

I was very excited to use this product. I took the time to read plenty of reviews before I bought it so I knew what to expect. A lot of women said they left it on for 20 minutes instead of ten like the directions say. I read a lot of women say that their highlights stayed after using the shampoo. I left it on for 25 minutes just to make sure there wasn’t any grey left but instead I was left with orange roots AND my beautiful caramel highlights are completely gone. Now my hair is almost solid black which isn’t a good look for me. I have to go to the beauty supply and get color remover to strip this color out. I’m sad it didn’t work. Especially since I did all my homework before using it. I ultimately returned the product and went to the salon to fix my hair.

It may work for you, but it did absolutely nothing for my grays. I was really excited and optimistic from all the ads I saw about this product but after receiving it and trying it, I’m completely let down. It did make my already brown hair a slightly different color brown, but it did nothing to my gray hairs. I did plan to take a video of the process but was so excited to try it I forgot to but now I have a second chance to record it and see if it works at all after a second try. I doubt it. Attached is a photo of my hair about 20 minutes after getting out the shower and rinsing it off my hair. I applied the polar dye shampoo to my hair and my beard just as the instructions direct. Pump 2-3 pumps in you hand, lather it up, apply to hair, let it sit for 10 min then rinse out. While it was sitting in my hair, it looked great and I was hopeful it was going to stay how it looked, but the rinse took every bit of color that was there in my grays completely out. I don’t know if there is something I need to do to make it stay better or if it just doesn’t work with my grays completely hair, but I want everyone to know about my experience and how it didn’t work for me. If I’m able, I will post an update of the second run which I will record video of. But for now here is a photo of my hair after one try. Every bit of gray you see in the pictures is how it always looks. I would say at best it made my gray hair maybe look ever so little, like there might be something on it, which is no where near close to what the description or any of the ads say. ***Update*** I tried it again, this time doing it my way instead of following the instructions and I got a much better result. My hair is really short but I had to use 12 pumps total to cover my head and beard. Also instead of lathering it up in my hands and rubbing it into my hair, I pumped 3 pumps at a time into a dish and used a hair dye applicator brush to apply it to my hair, being sure to apply it with to all sides of the hair, then following that up with a comb to disperse any excess throughout my hair so it was evenly applied. Then I proceeded to let it stay in my hair for about 30 minutes after I was done applying it to my hair. It took about 8minutes to apply it to my hair. This time when I rinsed my hair, a lot of the color actually stayed instead of washing out like it did the first time. I’m upgrading my rating from a 1 star to a 3 star because it did eventually work but it still is in my opinion very misleading and I had to use 4 times the amount (5 including the first try) to get it to work. We will see how long it lasts in my hair and if I’m able I’ll update my review with those results, but I’ll be canceling my Amazon account so I don’t know if I’ll have access to do it or not. There are 4 photos that are before the second try of the dye, 4 photos that show what my hair looked like with the dye in my hair while I waited the 30 minutes, and then finally there are 5 photos that show my hair after I washed it out and dried my hair. Overall it did ok. No where as good as a normal dye job, but not bad for a wash in temporary dye. Also I do want to mention that even though it advertises that it doesn’t stain, it most definitely does but it washes off easily and if you get to it before it dries, it will come off pretty easily (depending on the surface it is on and how long it sat there).
