The first time I tried this shampoo, I followed the instructions (use on dry hair). WRONG.... For me I saw absolutely no change in my hair and was very disappointed. So, I did a little research on the product and found that most people to actually wet their hair, then apply the shampoo. I tried that and yes, results were great. I've never colored my hair and I'm 72 with very little grey in the crown and around my temples, and this color was exactly what I hoped for. I did apply to my entire head for my balance and all over color. My hair looks healthier, feels much softer, it rinses very easy and doesn't seem to fad or cause a cloudy dull look over a few days. I also thought it was a little costly for the size bottle. But with the results I got and the compliments my husband gave me, no complaints the cost either. I'll be purchasing this product again so that I never run out.

It may work for you, but it did absolutely nothing for my grays. I was really excited and optimistic from all the ads I saw about this product but after receiving it and trying it, I’m completely let down. It did make my already brown hair a slightly different color brown, but it did nothing to my gray hairs. I did plan to take a video of the process but was so excited to try it I forgot to but now I have a second chance to record it and see if it works at all after a second try. I doubt it. Attached is a photo of my hair about 20 minutes after getting out the shower and rinsing it off my hair. I applied the polar dye shampoo to my hair and my beard just as the instructions direct. Pump 2-3 pumps in you hand, lather it up, apply to hair, let it sit for 10 min then rinse out. While it was sitting in my hair, it looked great and I was hopeful it was going to stay how it looked, but the rinse took every bit of color that was there in my grays completely out. I don’t know if there is something I need to do to make it stay better or if it just doesn’t work with my grays completely hair, but I want everyone to know about my experience and how it didn’t work for me. If I’m able, I will post an update of the second run which I will record video of. But for now here is a photo of my hair after one try. Every bit of gray you see in the pictures is how it always looks. I would say at best it made my gray hair maybe look ever so little, like there might be something on it, which is no where near close to what the description or any of the ads say. ***Update*** I tried it again, this time doing it my way instead of following the instructions and I got a much better result. My hair is really short but I had to use 12 pumps total to cover my head and beard. Also instead of lathering it up in my hands and rubbing it into my hair, I pumped 3 pumps at a time into a dish and used a hair dye applicator brush to apply it to my hair, being sure to apply it with to all sides of the hair, then following that up with a comb to disperse any excess throughout my hair so it was evenly applied. Then I proceeded to let it stay in my hair for about 30 minutes after I was done applying it to my hair. It took about 8minutes to apply it to my hair. This time when I rinsed my hair, a lot of the color actually stayed instead of washing out like it did the first time. I’m upgrading my rating from a 1 star to a 3 star because it did eventually work but it still is in my opinion very misleading and I had to use 4 times the amount (5 including the first try) to get it to work. We will see how long it lasts in my hair and if I’m able I’ll update my review with those results, but I’ll be canceling my Amazon account so I don’t know if I’ll have access to do it or not. There are 4 photos that are before the second try of the dye, 4 photos that show what my hair looked like with the dye in my hair while I waited the 30 minutes, and then finally there are 5 photos that show my hair after I washed it out and dried my hair. Overall it did ok. No where as good as a normal dye job, but not bad for a wash in temporary dye. Also I do want to mention that even though it advertises that it doesn’t stain, it most definitely does but it washes off easily and if you get to it before it dries, it will come off pretty easily (depending on the surface it is on and how long it sat there).

It's a great product works well the only thing that I is I wish they'd have a more colors because it's tends to make your hair a little reddish tried the medium and the light and they both make your hair reddish just wish they had a more natural one that just gave you the complete color without the red other than that it's a wonderful product

So the product kinda works, but a couple issues with it. For starters dark brown is more like auburn. Made my hair look reddish to the point that straight men went out of their way to let me know my hair color looks fake. Secondly, the dye stains your fingers and anything you have that might be white in bathroom. It doesn't feel natural at all in fact it even slightly burns when it's sitting in your scalp. Thirdly, the color starts to wear out in about 1 week and doesn't last as long as they claim. Forth, the product comes from China and there is no way to confirm or trust the product is safe. I have used high end beard dyes that had better color and lasted longer when using it to cover greys on my head.

This is a great product, it works well, quick and fast for those with porous hair. If your hair doesn't color well with regular dyes this product may not work well for your hair. The bottle size is decent, the scent was pleasant, the application was easy and straightforward, it rinsed out really well and the color after adding 6 pumps not 2 that I left on for 20+ minutes was as vibrant as if I had colored it with a permanent hair color. It's definitely a good value for your money since it takes a while for it to rinse out, but is also easily able to just be used to retouch if only trying to keep the gray in check. Hadn't used color since back in August or September 2025, had no current pics of myself since October and the color is from a 2/25/26 pic, it matched the color I already had in perfectly as I only put it around the edges to see how well it would work. I am very pleased.
