This is the way a garden hose should work. One of my favorite buys of the year. No more winding in a hose like you are a working in the oil fields. As the remaining water in the hose is released it contracts on it’s own and fits nicely in a small space. This hose will last you a long time if you remember one pointer - don’t snag it on anything. The material is more prone to getting caught on something and causing a tear - which has no easy fit. I feel this a great purchase as long as you mind not snagging it on a corner while reeling it back in. Remember, this is not a hearty tube of rubber like most hoses. But that’s the main reason I like it so much. It’s that not a massive pile of tubing I have to reel up after every usage.

I have never HATED a pocket hose before. I use pocket hoses during the winter so I can bring them in easily to keep them from freezing. I buy cheap ones and they work great- so much better than this one. First use the shut off valve broke, second use it broke again, on the 5th use the sleeve to unscrew the hose from the faucet came off. This hose is terrible to attach to other hoses and faucets. And who measured this thing?! 75 ft? What a joke. You are lucky to get 20 feet of actual usable hose. At full pressure sure you get 75 ft but once you turn it on to fill a bucket the thing sucks back together, and you end up fighting to keep the hose stretched out. I knew it would shrink but down to such an unusable length? My barn is 60 feet long and my water spigot is in the center, this hose will not reach the 30 ft to the doors. Also maybe my water pressure is high, but you cannot let this thing go! You will get hurt...and wet. You will pretty much get wet anyway because the nozzle is so narrow its like a pressure washer, although that could be because I cant adjust the spray pattern since it broke on first use. I never had a problem with my previous pocket hose acting like a pressure washing slingshot. DO NOT RECOMMEND. EVER. (I do like pocket hoses but this design was terrible)

EDIT: Changed this to three star because the hose has a lifetime warranty and they replaced it, no questions asked. This hose burst, split down the side and sprayed water all over the place after 3 weeks of use. Beyond repair. Was using it as a standard garden hose to water plants and potted succulents on our terrace. Thankfully I contacted bulbhead through their website and all products have a LIFETIME WARRANTY! They sent a new one my way.

This just arrived; we unpacked it and used it. We purchased this because our traditional garden hose (about 40-ft) was not long enough, and the metal screw end was deteriorating; when I tried to spray water by putting my thumb over the opening, it just came out the sides of the end. The plastic container is easy to open; it has a pre-cut area around the top that was nice and easy to open; the instructions are written on the inside of the paper sleeve that goes around the sides of the container, but we didn't read them (at least not yet): it's just a hose. We unwrapped it and pulled it out. We purchased a 75-foot hose, but at first, it wasn't much longer than the 40-foot hose (but we knew it was reported to expand). We turned on the water. I'm not sure that I was expecting -- possible that those hose would self-expand. Instead, I had to pull on it, but I was afraid of cracking the faucet, so while I watered the plants, my wife went down the length of the hose and stretched it section by section. This worked, and the hose was made longer. I didn't have any trouble with the nozzle; it's not very sophisticated, but hey, it's free. One difference to our traditional garden hose was that after the water was turned off, the water flow continued for quite some time. I thought that the hose might shrink down by itself, and it did somewhat, but not to the original length when we first unpacked it - this is not a problem; just an observation. I like it; we'll have to see how it holds up. It recommended storing the hose out of the sun; we did not do that with our traditional hose, and the traditional hose lasted for a very long time. But we did hide this new hose in the garage -- we couldn't quite fit it back into the plastic container. These are my first impressions.

I'm writing this more to the product support than the original purchase. The Silver Pocket hose failed soon after purchase. 1 week ago 8/2025, I contacted customer support about the warranty. They responded very quickly. Since the Silver was out of stock, they provided an upgrade (the Copper model) at no charge and shipped it for free. We went back and forth a couple times on email and their response was almost immediate. It really only took 2 weeks to receive a replacement from the start of my inquiry. I'm hoping the copper model lasts! The one they sent came with upgrades. A swivel attachment and a nice spray nozzle. Customer service exceeded my expectations. Bravo!

We'll see if this one lasts. The other one lasted just a year before it just fell apart. One morning the outer fabric gave way and the interior blew up like a water balloon and...yep...busted. Why would I buy another? Well, it is a great hose, when they hold up, light weight and easy to handle...I would suggest you buy the added warranty with it if you buy one. I did this time. BUT found another similar product that appears much sturdier...which I cannot name...but if you check my other reviews you can find it.

This is the best hose I have ever used! I love how lightweight it is. Also, it never kinks and the water pressure stays the same even if there is a knot in the hose. When you turn the water pressure all the way up the water shoots out very far kind of like a fireman's hose. I also love how it expands and contracts when you turn the water on and off. I would recommend this hose to anyone. Very user friendly!
