Net material is very thin and hardly rubber coated. Net frame is flimsy and seemingly not very sturdy. Highly recommend only using if you will not be extending it, as sturdiness drastically decrease when you extend. I’ve only netted a few fish with it and so far no major problems, but I don’t expect it to last very long. Good for catching dinks but not much else

I got this net for inshore kayak fishing in the southeast US targeting red drum, trout, and flounder. It's a great size for a kayak. When collapsed it's easy to use with one hand, and the ability to extend gives you some versatility. The net opening mechanism can be flipped and locked with a flip of the wrist. Coated netting is nice to protect the fish and makes cleaning easier. It's very light which is again great for a kayak. I landed a 24" red no problem with it. Looking forward to landing many more.

This is a nice net which I plan to use on my dinghy for trout fishing on the fly. I have other hand nets for when I’m wading but needed one with a little bit longer handle for the boat. I like that the netting is rubberized with small holes as I think this is more humane to fish, all of which I plan to release. The net is foldable for ease of carrying and made ready for use with a simple click into place. The handle is telescopic and there is a knack to using this feature which once you know it, will avoid some frustration I encountered: The secret is to unscrew the retaining sleeve only until the pole of the handle is able to slide, then adjust length as desired. Finally screw until tight so that the desired length is retained. At first, I made the mistake of unscrewing too much and the handle separated. A slight design fault but one you can avoid bumping into with knowledge. The additional extension of the handle is not a huge amount but it’s adequate for what i need and indeed adequate for this size of net. The net itself has a clip built in to it for fastening to your belt or a bag or waders or however you intend to carry it while fishing, and alternatively has a short lanyard and small carabiner on the end of the handle, useful for clipping to a backpack etc All in all a nice net for the price once you know how to use it effectively.
