Was sick and tired of the ink cartridges on my HP printer drying out between uses because I only really need to print a few times a year and never in color, so I was in the market for a low maintenance black and white printer. Found this beauty on a good deal and couldn’t be happier! I’ve had it for over a year and a half and have not had a single issue. While the companion app is admittedly basic and could do with a better UI, it’s incredibly easy to use. Connect the printer via Bluetooth (if using a mobile device) or the included charging cable (if on a Mac or PC), select your paper type, and print your file. It prints about as fast as a normal printer and you simply tear off what you printed. I bought the pre-cut sheets as well so I didn’t have to try to flatten the rolled paper when printing documents that I planned to keep, but I use the rolled paper for printing return labels for Amazon orders as I’ll just be taping them to a box anyway. It’s also relatively quiet when printing, no louder than a normal printer would be, and is quick to turn on and connect. The storage pouch that it comes with is great for keeping dust away while not in use too. If you’re tired of wasting money on ink cartridges and only really need to print in black and white, this is a great alternative! And for the documents I printed when I first got it, they haven’t shown the slightest sign of fading like you’d expect a grocery receipt to do after a year. The app also has cool printables like calendars, puzzle sheets for the kids, and other nifty things.

This was purchased on March 25, 2025 & today is July 13, 2025. I've waited to post this review, so that I could get plenty of experience with the printer first. I bought the cute pink one to match my rose gold laptop, & it came with the cables to attach it to my laptop, and a cute gray velveteen pouch to store the printer & cables in. It does take a bit of practice to get the paper centered just right, and I had two different types of paper by the manufacturer to play with - the individual sheets you feed through one at a time & the folding sheets that are attached to each other. I find the folding sheets far easier to deal with. Understand that this printer is thermal, so there is no need to purchase expensive ink cartridges! That's a HUGE plus! It plugs directly into your computer, you add the printer to your computer's approved printers, you hit print, it sends what you're printing to the printer, & it really is as simple as that. Understand, that it only prints in black & white, but the quality is good! I print out documents for the Social Security Administration every month, I print out my daughter's homeschool worksheets, and anything else that I need to print out. The only downside is that you can only print on one side of the paper because it's thermal paper. One side has writing on it by the manufacturer that indicates you don't print on that side & the other side is blank. I've also noticed that printed documents seem to have smaller print than when I print on my husband's HP printer. None of this bothers me because it's still legible & clear.

Update: Only works for the app so I have to save documents and then go find them to print them. Uses lots of extra time. one I got it working it was just annoying. It's loose so have to hold it shut for it to print. Can only print a page or two at a time without errors and all kinds of issues so when trying to print a stack of medical records I had to do them one page at a time. It turned into a toy for the kid because we could print fun things but I had to pay for this bunch of stuff and then printed 5 things before it wanted me to upgrade to print more. This is why they only want you to print from the app, so they can keep selling you junk. They sent me a message saying they were sorry for the trouble and if I replied "refund" they would refund my money and I did but they did not send a refund. ---------- There was no paper in the box, was supposed to come with printing paper. I ordered some but forgot about this for a while. Once I needed it I opened up the box and no directions. The QR code wouldn't scan. I went to the website and lots of pop up junk but couldn't find an app or anything to download. I'm sitting here for 45 minutes so far trying to figure out how to use it. Just want to print a stupid label.

I was looking for a printer for travel to use with my MacBook Air M2. This fit the bill but there is an issue with the USB C port. The problem affects a number of these travel printers. The problem is that you can not use a USB C to USB C with them. If you use a USB A to USB C and an adapter then it will work fine. The problem from what I have found is that they didn't include resistors on the USB C port to tell the computer that it is connected. I think this is a bad design decision since all new Macs only have USB C ports as do newer Windows computers. You can not use Bluetooth to print from a Mac to the printer. This is not a deal breaker as it is a very nice printer and the drivers support Mac's (with both ARM and Intel processors), as well as Windows computers (with Intel and ARM processors.). Plus iPhone, iPads, and Android devices.

Pros: -This brand appears to be a bestseller and produces a reliable product. -For people who need a mobile printer or if you print infrequently, this is a great option because there's no ink to dry up and printing at Staples is 24¢ compared to the cost of thermal paper which is about 10¢. -Thermal paper is slightly shiny on the print side but you can easily use a pen on it. -Very easy app to set-up and connect via Bluetooth. Cons: -Not for a business presentation because the paper is thin and the printout is fine but not as crisp as inkjet or laser printing. -You can use a roll of paper or buy sheets, but either way you're printing one at a time to either cut each page or feed each page. -The product line descriptions are confusing, so be sure to get the latest version and/or the one you need because each iteration improves the quality.

Terminal Printer, which means you don't have to worry about buying ink. Print really well when it works. Easily connection to my Samsung Fold5 phone via Bluetooth. Bought May 3, 2024. Had issues with getting it to turn on a few months after buying it. It says push and hold button 3 seconds to turn on. That wouldn't alway work. It would charge just find or act like it was fully charged but when you try to turn on, it wouldn't come on. Now I can't get it to turn on at all. It use to beep and the green like would be on, but not anymore. Would not buy nor recommend. It doesn't last a year.
