  • Works with Eero mesh system
Style: Old Version
TLDR: good printer, works with eero wifi mesh system, set up in less than 10 minutes - great step-by-step instructions via HP Smart app. If you need a basic printer for occasional printing that's super easy to setup, get this. I initially bought the Canon Pixma MG3620. Downloaded their app to get things setup and what a nightmare. I have an eero wifi and the PIXMA printer would not show up on initial scan. I would select scan again after clicking a series of buttons on the printers and then it would popup only to show my wireless network listed 4 times with me being left to determine which one I connected to. I assumed it didn't matter but it did given after selecting 1 and inputting the password, it wouldn't connect. I would click the series of buttons on the printer again to begin the process again only to have all the wifi networks show up (mine + other networks it found) but in a totally different order. This meant I couldn't even weed out each of my 4 networks to find which one was right. Also, the one time I did manage to get it to connect, I had to set my eero wifi in legacy mode for it to connect. As soon as I removed it from legacy mode, the printer began failing again only for me to begin attempting to get it connected again. I looked on many forums but eventually couldn't find a solution as many other people had issues as well. Why do I mention the printer above? Because I then bought THIS hp printer and simply downloaded the app, plugged in the printer, turned it on, and followed the step-by-step instructions (with animations) and it immediately found my network and connected. No duplicate entries, no hassle, it just worked. I was printing within minutes. I then tested printing on my mac, my downstairs PC, and my phone with AirPrint and it all just worked. I spent almost 2 hours on the canon printer troubleshooting and it was just a huge headache. As for print quality between the two, I couldn't tell you, but if you just need a basic occasional printer, you can't beat this for the price and simplicity. Hope this helps. ... show more

  • Perfect Little Hobby Printer
Style: Old Version
I did not buy this for heavy use and it is not suitable for such. But for my purposes just printing out sheets here and there, maybe 10 a month, it holds up great! Set up is super easy and it runs like a charm. Love that it comes with ink cartridges + 3 months of free ink. After I think it's a $2 charge to keep a subscription, basically free IMO. Totally worth it if you need something casual! ... show more

  • A hassle to set up.
Style: Old Version
My previous printer just died after 7 years. I was looking for a cheap printer because I don’t really print much and didn’t want to spend too much. Despite some of the negative reviews I took a shot with this one. I spent about 40m setting this thing up. I’ve set up quite a few printers in my life, for me, friends and family and this has been the most tedious and time consuming one. All the setup has to be done from the HP app. The app failed multiple times while setting up. I had to restart every time. After finally getting it connected to my network, it printed a test page and all the letters were doubled. I had to do a print head alignment, which you sort of have to dig around in the app to find. Then it had to do an update so that took a while. I swear I almost packaged this thing back up to return, but just practiced a bit of patience. After all of that, I was able to get some quality pages to print. It’s a bit slower then my past more expensive printers and it is a little loud but I won’t be using it too much for that to bother me. The saying stays true, you get what you pay for. It is a budget printer after all and it gets the job done. I see some reviews where others seem to get this thing setup in a few minutes. I guess it’s a hit or miss with the one you get. If you print once in a while then I think the price is fair, just be prepared incase you get one that doesn’t want to play nice during setup. ... show more

  • Invest your money elsewhere.
Style: Old Version
Not worth it. (Not one for reviews but...) Quick overview: • Hypothesis: HP Printer is only able to be “installed” on (1) device, Customers are unable to adjust wi-fi passwords/or providers, and potential un-successful client services offerings and spam risk. o HP “Customer Support” OR “Home Support” is located within various regions. Unless you are looking to spend your time on hold with the representatives who are disguised as Sales Spam Artists (potentially hacking into your computer software system), or navigating your way through the “self-service” systems, Individuals and owners alike waste over 2+ hours on “hold” only to lead to further unresolved issues and even worse data breaches of contracts and information systems. o The Websites/Apps, Directions, and Instructions provided within the company lead to dissatisfied customer experiences. o Unless you’re trying to look for a “quick fix”, it might work in the beginning but long term – the value of the worth, from my perspective, I haven’t been able to witness. ***If curious, notes below: Previously having formerly invested in other brand name printers, I was unaware of my expectations… especially from a well-respected brand of HP. After purchasing the “HP DeskJet 2755 All-in-One Printer” or “HP DeskJet 2755e Wireless Color All-in-One Printer with Bonus 6 Months Instant Ink with HP+” on 04/22 from Amazon; was incredibly excited and pleasantly surprised with the seamless installation. Once registering the device, customers are informed of the partnership with HP Instant Ink, which works closely together with HP Development Company, L.P. to schedule automated “ink” delivery. Packages are presented with various price ranges to the customer - boiling down to a per ink cartridge and anticipated number allotment of the number of pages being published by the owner, every month. For the first 1-2 months, hadn’t experienced anything alarming. However, had unexpected technical challenges which shortly developed upon updating the Wi-Fi password. – Out of security purposes, it is recommended in general to update passwords and login information ~ about every 90ish days. - When attempting to re-connecting to the Wi-Fi, customers immediately might experience unanswered questions; “bot-chats” that provide additional links to articles within the website that do not directly answer the question originally situation; and when finally getting in touch with “HP Support” (via phone call) are then confronted with irrelevant questions - unrelated to the product malfunctions - and then are continued to be ridiculed with various recommendations of “security systems” packages. Whether this is purchased or not, they have “control” or “access” to the computer. Unfortunately, the computer was unable to be revived due to the unexpended circumstance which led to a Product Technician (of a well-named company) reviewing the computer, and communicating “I have never seen anything like this before.” With the original computer being hacked and shut down, a re-installation within a brand-new year-to-date computer, the attempt was made with HP Development Company, L.P (multiple.) No surprise, but once again was unable to connect to the Wi-Fi. (Within consideration for the company and due diligence of the Wi-Fi Provider, multiple other devices were able to reconnect within a blink, and multiple attempts to re-install the HP Development Company, L.P. “HP DeskJet 2755 All-in-One Printer” or “HP DeskJet 2755e Wireless Color All-in-One Printer with Bonus 6 Months Instant Ink with HP+”.) Buying items from Amazon is much more convenient, however, there is something really to be said of this product not being able to be returned, especially with the false advertisement and guarantees. From a company perspective, can’t help but be concerned about the ethics and values within the HP business. Highly would recommend considering alternative replacements for the Product, Engineering, and Human Resources departments to be able to hold the brand standards and values we have all longed for when purchasing a product, especially one so accredited as such. Additionally, if the machine is unable to correspond with basic security policies and password updates - the potential buyer and customer need to be made aware of this within the original description before moving forward with payment and further “challenges”. Best of luck. ... show more
