The Epson T5170 prints quickly, cleanly and has good old fashioned print drivers for all the flavors of operating system we run on the shop floor. Everything worked straight out of the box and so far, I've been happy with the cartridge life. I will say that the paper catch is just that... a catch. Don't expect your prints to land in any organized fashion - rather expect to find them haphazardly rolled and folded in the "fishnet" style catch bin - this is an area where the T5170 could use some improvement. All in all the Epson is a keeper! But the Amazon Delivery Service stole the show! Regarding Amazon's service: I initially ordered this product at a competitor (Adorama who advertised the product to be in stock). After a week of waiting for a tracking number I made contact with Adorama, only to find out that the printer had yet to ship and in-fact was going to be drop shipped some 30 days later! With a project deadline looming, I simply couldn't wait and canceled the order with Adorama. Fearing the same treatment, but eager to get this equipment in the shop, I reluctantly purchased the printer here on Amazon. Amazon boasted the same low price but claimed to be able to make delivery before my deadline. I ordered on a Thursday afternoon and In three short days (Sunday afternoon!) I had accepted delivery from Amazon. I received clear communication on the shipping status through Amazon and the delivery drivers were friendly. It should be noted that our offices are not in a major town, quite rural in fact, and far from any metro area. This was simply amazing service! You pay close to $2000 extra to get away from cartridges. Worth it in my opinion. Praying my machine doesn't break any time soon, will most likely be buying the extended warranty.

I'm really dissappointed in this printer. While it was simple to set up. It print POORLY. I had planned on returning it but amazon says they won't take it back. I guess they know it doesn't work also. My prints are plagued by banding which makes them useless. It's also practically new. And everyone knows printers don't get better with time. If you want a dependable high-quality printer GET SOMETHING ELSE. I literally take my prints off the printer, grimmace, and throw the freshly printed page into the trash. It's like setting my money on fire. I'm eating the time, cost of paper, and cost of ink. Essentially I am sending Epson ink money to create items I can't use and must put in the garbage. Don't spent $$$$$ on this. You can get better prints from $ printer. :-( Now I need to waste time working to fix it when I bought it to safe time. Terrible! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Scared to death because it's technically a "plotter" printer, but I'm so gad I tried this instead of the super expensive upgrade. Tips to get the best quality, save to PNG files, change size to 300 dpi WITHOUT resampling the image, the larger you go be sure to increase sharpness accordingly. All of mine were taken with an iphone 10 & iphone 14 and they look & feel amazing. I'm printing on the Epson SureColor T2170 24-Inch Desktop Wide-Format Wireless Inkjet Printer. I use canva to create a file that's 24inx80in . It's easy to adjust to smaller sizes. I prefer to use the fiskars rotary cuttery to deal with the thickness of the Matte Canvas roll . The paper isn't too shiny. I test applied varnish to the prints (Winsor Newton & Kamar Varnish), and it enhanced the print much like an actual painting. Just be careful it can make the sides curl. I've been using my Epson T2170 and cannot recommend it enough. I use it weekly to print my separation films for screen printing and it works phenomenally due to Epson's use of UV resistant pigmented inks on all color channels, not just black like HP uses to cheap out. When printing separations and burning screens with UV light, the UV resistant ink blocks the light perfectly (down to a 5 second burn with LED!). HP is known to be cheap crap and Epson also has a solid reputation. My box DID COME OPEN so if you're worried about shipping, I'd highly recommend buying this from a store. ... show more
